Many areas played important roles in Moroccan history, however, with the elapsing years, these areas began to decline to become now sites frequented by tourists from everywhere to find out what remains of their ruins that are collapsing day after day.
Sites where civilizations mingle and the past meets the present, forming a colorful mixture, as is the case in the village of 'Targha', located on the Mediterranean coast, about 70 km southeast of the city of 'Tetouan'
A trip to the village of 'Targha', which was famous for being a base for maritime jihad and which is rich in many monuments, dating back to ancient times from its long history, including: the castle known as 'Dar al-Sultan' and the impenetrable frotress on top of a large black rock, that rises about 15 meters above sea level.
This small village in its size but big with its pioneering role in the fight against the external invasions, was not honored by history, but rather was neglected and overlooked, so it kept to itself waiting, with every tidal movement, to be rehabilitated. It history deserves to be written with ink of pride and honor.
Can we consider it to give it the attention it deserves?
