Best video on the web to explain this - I always wondered how long these starter or boost batteries would last .

Excellent. Now I a bit more Clude up on battery’s I have always wondered how long the battery’s for my will last also I was under the impression that Amphour or milliamp hours determine how long it will take to charge the battery. Fantastic video as always 👍👍👍👍

Thanks Sean. Charging is a little more complicated, depends on battery material, size of charger used and so on. Thanks for watching. Dave.

Please can you explain the consequences of depletion of battery charge over time when inconstant use and how it affects how many hours it will last. I want to run a battery amplifier which is rated at 20w, requires 12v and 2amps. I'll be using 8 D cell alkaline single use batteries. How long will it run continuously. Thank you.

Manufacturer's data is the place to look. There are so many variations of battery composition that there is no general figure, and is it constant usage or fluctuating and battery temperature affects it too. also consider the battery voltage at which the devices will stop functioning normally, that will also affect the "life". dave.

@@learnelectrics4402 thanks. So does that mean that the capacity of the battery in amp hours divided by the current of the load in amps does not give the number of hours that the battery will last? Would it be even close? I've tried to research this but nothing is very clear.
