This is exactly what I needed to create songs. I import to Auri and add bass and keyboards. Then I record with my Boss RC-3 so it’s always there.

I like the idea, and it looks really great, but I'll try it out when/if they offer it as a free download again like they did this last Christmas for a while. Then if I like it, I'm willing to purchase additional drum kits at that point. The app may be worth the $20, but currently there is no lite version to try out (at least that I could find). So, I'm not taking the chance in the event it's not something that I would incorporate into my recordings.

Dear sir, is there any podsolibity to to the drum set manually, or my fingers, I think using the ready made loops actually sucks the life of the track. Does the IAA function work with Cubasis 3?

I really wanted to provide a better answer for you but this is all I've got: It is needlessly difficult to use X Drummer with outside programs. I think I spent several hours trying to use it as you might expect it to work and got frustrated. It IS quite useful but I have settled on just constructing the song IN X Drummer and exporting the MIDI file. If you export audio make sure your sampling rates match each other.

Great video! The only question I have after buying this is does the samples use velocity?! It sounds like they are using on sample, sounds terrible, especially on fills...
@AmpApps6 жыл бұрын
Hi, there is velocity layering. If you trigger the kit sounds from an external pad or keyboard you can hear the different velocity layers. Personally, I do not prefer the way PG has designd the sample choices but that’s a matter of taste. If you export the .midi files you can fine tune the velocities of the notes. Some of the playing is quite good.

Amp Apps Thank you for replying! 👍 That is great news, I’ll have to give it a try! I was quite disappointed when I went through the drum loops and kinda just kinda forgot about the app, but it just seemed so weird they would get away not using velocity layering! Great video! 👍

Happy to help! XD is more of a tool for me. While it *can* be used as a master track for drums I find it suits more as a way to help you get started and flesh out ideas. Enjoy!

can it do tempo change in any given event seamlessly or if you set it to a certain tempo it goes out to all parts of the song?

This app looks amazing. I wasn't even aware of it until just now. Does anyone know if X Drummer works with the new Positive Grid 40w Spark guitar amp? I ordered the amp a few days ago and am waiting for it to be delivered. Since Positive Grid has a current discount I'd like to purchase X Drummer, before the sale price ends, but I'd like to make sure it works with the amp first. I know the Spark amp doesn't work with Positive Grids other apps (which is a bummer), so i'm guessing it also won't work with X Drummer. I can't afford to purchase both X Drummer and Bias FX, so I'm hoping it works with the amp. If anyone knows and could let me know that would be greatly appreciated. One last thing... I have an older iRig cord. Does anyone know if that would allow me to play with X Drummer through my iPad? And is there any other software that I could use for my guitar tones if I can't use the Spark amp? Sorry for so many questions, I know Positive Grid takes forever to reply to inquiries, so I figured I may get a reply in these comments sooner. I just don't want to miss the sale. Thank you to anyone who can offer some input.

If the Spark amp will connect as a USB sound device you can use X Drummer like anyone else, you should also be able to access all typical guitar and sound recording and processing apps. I like X Drummer, but it really just attempts to get the tempo of your playing and then provide a song arrangement in the style you’ve chosen and at that tempo. The playing is very good and there are a lot of song parts. You can export the midi file you create in X Drummer and use other drums and recording apps as well.

Midi beat editing? I want to edit the beats, and ghost notes,etc. is that possible? I don’t see where to do this.
@AmpApps6 жыл бұрын
You can do midi note editing in a DAW. You can swap out beats within XD with other sections within the app.
@GabsBiz5 жыл бұрын
Amp Apps can you then play that midi against x drummer so you get the great x drummer drum sounds?

Hi Ian, there is no midi editor in XDrummer unfortunately. You can only modify the patterns it already has.

I think this app is not work to death metal genre..
@JayTheLane5 жыл бұрын
To be honest it listening to your song is a gimmick. It makes the pattern based on the genre of music you select. I've selected rock and sang the chicken song into it and it comes up with essentially the same pattern as when I play guitar. This app is very limited in its scope.
