I'm an SWR and Mesa player , but you got my attention on this one. I currently own the Darkglass Microtubes X7 which I love, but like I said this looks amazing with the 3 cab simulator onboard. WHAT ??? An onboard in ear monitor ? This preamp looks tits !

Just got mine today... normally I use EHX pedals but this STG is the best pedal I ever used from Ampeg and I'm extremely pleased with it. It has become me Central Hub of Bass operations since the moment I took it out it's box. Best Ampeg pedal for Basses so far imo. 🤟

I knew it was only a matter of time before they’d update the SCR-DI since the Rocket Bass series came out not long ago with the SGT. I just didn’t know it would be so soon. I wonder if the pedals will be getting evolutions as well. 😊

Sounds good for clean and low gain I would use another pedal with blend for higher gain. Beats the Twonotes Revolt by a long shot to me.

Interesting to see Ampeg finally trying to adapt to the market and yet keep its identity. Looks nice but i'll wait for a MKII version with : 1) integrated tuner 2) insert section. 3) 48v Phantom power on the DI 4) make the usb port enable the pedal to work as an recording audio interface 5) add a freq pot to LOW and TREBLE as well. 6) add a cut on the ultra HI I'd like to know if the drive level is acting as a dry/wet balance or just a master level of the driven signal with no possibility to mix dry/wet which would be a no go for me. I'd like to know what the bass and treble frequencies are too. Same for the Ultra lo and Ultra Hi switches

I think, level of sgt is level of distortion and your clean signal doesn't go anywhere, like blend on ehx bass big muff, you know.

I have a SVT3 PRO and 410 cab, a Micro CL amp and my SCR DI, but now I want this brand new. It's so dificult to get it here in Amazonia- Brazil. Very expensive, but is AMPEG.

I haven’t try a real svt , just the svt suite. i bought the sgt-di thinking the svt switch was gonna sound like any of the 3 (svt heritage/ svt 4 pro/svt-cl) on svt suit, but it doesn’t, i went even further and check the frequency response on each one (just the preamps,no eq,FX/Cabsims off) and the sgt di svt, doesn’t match any of the svt curves from svt suite, i know it doesn’t have to perfectly match, but i cant get any of the tones from svt suite.

Does anyone know the name of the Ampeg Guitar Combo Amp around in the late 80s that had a built-in stereo stereo chorus? I believe had twin speakers. A friend of mine had one back then it it sounded incredible, a really great distortion with the chorus on top was just awesome. 👍🤘🙂

This looks much more accurate to an actual Ameg SVT/B15 rig to me, while the SCR looked more like a DI box with a fuzz pedal.

make a 4x10 cab 4 ohms on detachable casters. that will handles 1,500 watts the amp sampling tones are cool not so much the dirt.

Buyer beware I brought ones of these pedals and it last all of 39 days ! Now they are making me pay to send it to one of there service centers instead of just replacing the dead pedal. Can't wait to hear what cheap chinese part failed after 39 days. Junk !
