Marcy's journal told a different story, but this animatic still told a good alternative to how Marcy and Anne met and became friends, and it's told in a way that is true to who the characters were. I especially like the final transition to 23 year old Anne, showing how she's reflecting on how her friendship with Marcy began. 💙💚

@@BillyWiccanHex (*marcy’s journal spoilers*) it said that anne and marcy met at a beach when they were three- anne was playing alone when she saw marcy making a sand castle. anne invited her to play in the water with her but marcy said that she rather stay dry and finish her masterpiece. anne then finds out that she made a blueprint from her favorite game, and she was getting worried bc of the waves, and anne just suddenly had the urge to protect marcy’s masterpiece (they lost but they became each other’s friends)

In Marcy's journal, Anne explains how she met Marcy - and it was honestly the most wholesome, sweetest, and heartwarming thing that I've ever seen. It shows that Anne really does care about Marcy, despite her differences and her obsession. It shows how true of a friend she is. At 1:34 I actually cried when it switched to Anne's older self - and Marcy wasn't there. OMMMGGGG!!!! 😭😭 This is such an amazing animation I cried so flippping muchh.

if their story went like this i would be able to understand better why she got all three of them stuck in amphibia but it's still understandable because the reason is still the same but yeah Anne was definitely Marcy's first friend cause when they found out it was Marcy who got them stuck in Amphibia Marcy mostly (if not only) talks to Anne how she has grown and all and Anne was the one who always protected Marcy so the animation definitely holds quite some truth to the story

As someone who has ADHD, talks a lot, and tends to have hyper-focused interests... Yeah, I dig this. I think my only saving grace growing up was the fact I was a bit extroverted and somewhat socially conscious. So I was always the "weird, but in a good way" kid due to being able to socialize decently, but being neurodivergent in almost every other way. It's why I like Mabel!

I saw this animation before and it was amazing! If you're a good animator for these videos, there's a story that I would like you to work on in an alternate relation to the ending of Amphibia's final episode, and it too focuses on Marcy. The Story: After the destruction of The Core and peace returning to Amphibia once again, Anne Boonchuy, Marcy Wu and Sasha Waybright said their final goodbyes to their Amphibia friends and allies, including Captain Grime, King Andrias, General Yunan and Lady Olivia, and Sprig and the Plantar family. As the portal closes forever as the three girls returned home to Earth, Marcy started to cry and apologised to her best friends for trying to keep them together in Amphibia and avoid separation since her dad was offered a new job in Hopkinton, Massachusetts and they wanted Marcy to move there with them, which was why she ran away in the first place since the day of Anne's 13th birthday. Marcy still refused to leave her friends and her California life behind. Anne: "Marce, we understand what you were going through with everything to try and keep us together. But, if you don't like to abandon us and move to a new place, then... I don't like it either. I totally agree that you should still stay." Sasha: "Boonchuy's got a fair point. The two of you have become friends at that beach since you were three. And if togetherness is what you still want, togetherness you'll still have. So I'm not letting you go anywhere, either." Marcy agreed on her friends' kind words and knows what she has to do now: return home and talk to her parents and inform them that she didn't want to move far away. At the Wu family house, a knock at the door was heard. As Marcy's mom opened it, she gasped lightly that Marcy has finally come home. Anne and Sasha were also with her. Marcy's parents were so worried that their only daughter had ran away six months ago, but were happy that she finally came back. But... something was wrong. Marcy: "Mom? Dad? I'm sorry that I ran off and I'm still proud about your new job. But, the truth is... is..." Anne: (Whispers to her friend) "Go on, Mar-Mar. Tell them. Sash and I have your back." Marcy's parents listened as Marcy is about to tell them her story. Marcy: 😢 "The reason I ran away was because I really don't want to leave my besties and my old life behind!" Mr. and Mrs. Wu: 😮 "What?!" Mrs. Wu: 😟 "But why, sweetie?" Mr. Wu: "How come?Wouldn't you like to try somplace new for a living?" Marcy: 😢 "Well, sure! I'd like to see the world and have a new fresh start, but not like this! But my point is that I love my life here in California with my girls! And if you do split us if I'm away, my life would never be the same again! I have my real, true friends living right here and who knows what Hopkinton would become of me! 😢😢 All I really want was to stay and never leave by best buddies at all! I want the three of us to always be together for life! This is what BFFs always do, they never split apart, no matter how far away we are!" Sasha: 😟 "We know what Marcy did was wrong, but all she wanted was to have a home here, with us." Anne: 😟 "This wasn't her fault that she left you guys for so long. Sure she still has her clumsy side, and we saved both worlds from a frog invasion apocalypse. But, if you do take Marcy away from us, think about not only what would become of her, but Sash and me, too! What if her heart grows dark? What if she hates you two and nevers speaks to you again? And what if she doesn't eat, nor leave her new bedroom or gets sick even that she'll end up in a hospital?" Sasha: "Her sickness could even affect us, too! That's why as BFFs, we always stick together like a family." Marcy cries even more tears down her face. Marcy: 😢😢 "Please. Please allow me to stay here! After everything I've done to make you upset this way. I just want to belong here!" Her parents now realised what Marcy had been through as they were starting to feel bad and upset themselves 😞. Mr. Wu hugs her daughter in his arms. Mr. Wu: 😞 "Oh, honey. I'm so sorry for what happened with you. This was all MY fault. I would've tried to make you understand what's really important in my life, accepting a brand-new job and living in a brand-new home as a family. But then, I've forgotten what's so important in your life, having good friends like Anne and Sasha by your side. I never meant to have you girls split apart for any reason." Mrs. Wu: (Hugs her daughter, too.) "We just wanted to make you happy and give you a fresh new start. But if you don't want to move to Hopkinton with us, then I won't either." Mr. Wu: "Neither will I. I really wanted this job badly after delaying this move for so long until your return, and maybe moving to Massachusetts wasn't such a good idea after all. If you want to stay Marcy Wu, you can We can all stay together." Marcy: 😢 "Oh, Mom. Dad. Thank you. I'm really, REALLY sorry for making you both worry so much! I missed you, guys!" Mr. Wu: "We missed you, sweetheart. And no matter whatever happens to you or where you go, just remember that we'll always be there for you." Mrs. Wu: "And we'll always love you from within our hearts." Marcy: (sniff) 😢 "And I love you guys, too! Thank you!" Marcy and her parents hugged each other and made amends for everything. After their warm, family hug, Mrs. Wu took Marcy to the bathroom to get her cleaned and washed, while Mr. Wu thanked Anne and Sasha for bringing Marcy back home. After the two girls left, Anne walked Sasha home next. Meanwhile in the bathroom, Marcy's mom prepared a nice, warm bath for Marcy as she stepped in while her mom washed her hair and cleaned up her body. But still deep inside of her, Marcy still felt a little bit guilty after what had happened after being away from her parents for a long time. Marcy: (sighs sadly) Mrs. Wu: "Honey, why do you still look so glum? Your father and I were worried for five months since you left us." Marcy: "I'm sorry, Mom. But ever since I ran off and destroyed some of the furniture, I was upset about leaving behind the most special thing of my whole life, and I thought I was going to have that taken away from me." Mrs. Wu: "Oh, Marcy. We would never take your friends away from you. Anne and Sasha have always been there for you evr since the day you met Anne on the beach when you were so very little. Marcy: "Weel, she did try to protect my sandcastle from the waves until they washed it away. But that was only just a sand sculpture. I could always build another one. And how wonderful I was to have Anne help me rebuild it." Mrs. Wu: "And do you still remember the time when you and Anne first met Sasha?" Marcy: "How could I forget? She tried to defend us from those bullying girls after they flung us off the swings at the playground." Mrs. Wu: "Your friends are always there whenever you always need them. And even when you're not there, they can never forget you. They're family to you, just like you're family to us." Marcy: "I know that, Mom. But of all the things I've wronged while stuck in Amphibia like convincing Anne to steal the Calamity Box, giving it to King Andrias to stop my girlfriends from leaving me, trying to run away from my deepest fears and (starts to cry again.) 😢😢😢 almost abandoning my friends over some stupid move to a new house! I'm such a terrible person and a really, bad daughter! " Mrs. Wu: "No, Marcy. You're not a terrible person. And you're not a bad daughter, either. You told us that you wanted your place to be here and your wish is earned. Right now, your father's gonna make a call to his new boss in Massachusetts that he'll be rejecting his offer to work for him. I just wish there is some way we can make it up to you." But Marcy didn't know whay to do to make up for all that she had done since she and her friends were stranded in Amphibia. Downstairs, Marcy's dad called his new boss from Hopkinton as he informed him that the move there was officially off. Hopkinton Boss: (his phone rings from his office as he answers it.) "Talk to me, Wu." Mr. Wu: "Hello, Mr. Ridgemount, it's finally happened." Hopkinton Boss: "You're finally agreeing to come join my office crew after your six-month delay? What gives, Wu?!" Mr. Wu: "Well, that's what I also want to call you about, but no. My daughter's finally come home! She's safe and sound and alive in one piece!" Hopkinton Boss: "You mean the Wu kid who was reported missing with the police finding no traces? Well, that's wonderful news to see that your daughter has finally come back to her senses. I also even managed to find her an excellent high school Hopkinton cannot resist to have her abroad." Mr. Wu: "Well, it was also great you managed to help my Marcy find a new school for her. But the problem is, I'm not letting her enroll in it." Hopkinton Boss: "Why is that? Don't you want the job? You want to give your family a fresh start, a new life?" Mr. Wu: "Yes, but... you see, after Marcy came back, she was feeling... rather upset." Hopkinton Boss: "Well then, what's your problem?" Mr. Wu: "She didn't want to move to Hopkinton with us and she's decided to stay here." Hopkinton Boss: "Just let her make new friends in Massachusetts. We'll even go bowling and fishing together. What's bothering her?" Mr. Wu: "Two of her friends also live in Los Angeles like us there. And if I ever took Marcy away from them, I would be considered a terrible, no, horrible father to her. She may feel depression, or may never speak to me again. And if I took Marcy with us, her friends would feel lonely as Marcy would feel the same." Hopkinton Boss: " So, you don't want your daughter to leave everything that's special in her life behind, do you?" Mr. Wu: "No, I don't. I'm sorry, Sir. But I'm afraid I can't accept your job offer. Which the real reason I'm calling you is that I'm turning the job down. So the move is permanently off."
