Man what a terrific season this has been. When Dan Quinn was hired most of us were like " ehhhh whatever" about the DQ hire. We were fixated on the next young, shiny thing like a Ben Johnson or Mike MacDonald. However none of those guys have the experience and massive respect around the league that Dan Quinn has had for many years. And it allowed him to put together an amazing staff. With multiple former NFL head coaches like Kingsbury and Anthony Lynn. A lot of people don't realize how critical it is, to have an elite staff working together with Dan Quinn. DQ and his staff ( and Josh Harris Adam Peters, Lance Newmark, etc ) have all been amazing. It's been unbelievable 😁😁😁

@BobBaker-v9v I know that most fans weren't happy. I read their twitter comments. I read their KZbin comments. I saw their KZbin videos they posted. What's your problem? Nine other people so far liked my post and understood it.

What I always knew: The respect Quinn had around the NFL. By far he was the coach I heard the best things about during this process. Ben Johnson is a very good OC; we have no clue about his ability to lead a room or set the tone for an organization -- and that's what a head coach does. It's possible Aaron Glenn becomes the better HC off that staff. We just don't know. But people -- former assistants, players, executives; i probably talked to 20 people or more about him -- all raved about Quinn

There's no better situation than Washington's right now. Excellent ownership.. amazing GM.. Competent HC and staff. This is a staff full of true pros at their position. Generational talent QB. Then there's the cap space. Year one is down, a fool would leave this situation

I’m gonna miss starting my Sunday mornings with these gems. John, hats off to you for another outstanding season of coverage, and hopefully the wins bring more recognition for the terrific job you do year in and out…👏

I don't understand why he wouldn't want to coach Jayden in year 2 with a brand new WR on the offense, literally the offense is gonna be better and Kliff is gonna be able to do so much more.
@johnkeim474816 күн бұрын
That would be a definite reason why he doesn't have to rush into another job. But it's all about what does HE want the most and when he feels he's ready to climb back into the top seat. Zero guarantee that happens this year; because of what you state he does not have to exit in a hurry.

I can't believe that we are playing the final game of the regular season. I want a win against DAL. I believe Quinn should play the starters for the majority of the game. The team has struggled a bit when returning from having the time off.

They needed to beat Dallas the first time around, they were fielding a backup qb, at home and coming off 10 days rest. Now the Girls have something to play for…. Spoiler

I want to see less penalties in the Dallas game. Penalties have hurt us in the 2nd half of the season. Not only have they put us behind the sticks, they’ve taken TDs off the board.

Not sure who's decision it was to not hire him; very possible they gave Eberflus the final say. He choose poorly. But that just speaks to how bad that org is.

For Kingsbury it might not be hard to find the right ingredients next year. Not if Chicago wants him, and he's comfortable with their GM.
@johnkeim474816 күн бұрын
Maybe. But what most -- if not all -- coaches would tell me: The ownership is key. And the bears do not have good ownership. But not sure there's ever a perfect landing spot.
@richardallen491216 күн бұрын
@johnkeim4748 I guess ownership is the most important thing. We learned that with Snyder. You make a good point but it's fluid. Some owners do learn from past mistakes but how do you know if that's true?

They need to find a way to move on from Allen and Payne. Production has not been it and the 2nd place competition next season will only get worse.
@bgorg116 күн бұрын
Allen first. Just not close to the contract. But let’s try through the draft
@thebigdubnetwork16 күн бұрын
I cool with letting one go. AP and DQ has shown thry can find decent backups. We hear those names more than the high dollar players.
@javierordonez244516 күн бұрын
@@thebigdubnetwork yepppp. If we can find a way to get 3rds for both of them I’d be ecstatic! Relieving some cap would be nice too to have some more wiggle room in FA.
@ShabaAbate16 күн бұрын
@@javierordonez2445 We’re not getting close to a 3rd for either. 6th rounder at best for Allen, but he honestly may end up getting cut this offseason. No one is gonna offer anything for Payne, and we can’t cut him until 2026 based on his contract numbers
