One of the points about Amplifi (reasons not to buy) isn’t correct. The fact is that you can connect unlimited number of routers and mesh points to the same network to scale it up.

Outstanding review! Very analytical, not subjective, great evaluation of the respective use cases. Would be even stronger with more testing data comparisons. Good job.

Much appreciated!

the two don't really seem to be comparable to me unless you are only talking about routers, because that's all amplifi offers. meanwhile unifi covers a range of devices from switches, cameras, routers, entry devices, management consoles, phones, etc. if you know what you are doing unifi is hands down the better choice either way.

I get a lot of questions from people whether they should go UniFi or AmpliFi. I do agree if you want the configuration side of things then unifi 100%

They are the information I looked for. I want to use these devices in Germany.

I can't speak to Amplifi but I can speak to Unifi Con requires cloud account and online Access to setup. Pro: You can swap and change parts with little to no impact your settings can be applied to the new device without setup.

Thanks for sharing! Agree with both of them 👌

Not true, you can run the software locally on your computer without a cloud account

@@subject8123 Agreed, I have it on VM on the internal network. Unfortunately, it does seem to require an Ubiquiti login.

You are incorrect. AMPLIFI HD. Reasons not to buy point 3. I have two routers (connected via Ethernet) and three Mesh Points and all connected on same network. So you can scale them up. This is AMPLIFI HD.

Yeah that didn't make any sense to me... why would it be a MESH access point if it didn't mesh with other access points?
@TheKastle2 жыл бұрын
@@JohnsonJLB I guess he was referring to the one that comes with router and point which are integrated together, but I don't know if you can additional mesh points to it.
