Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions. I’ve fought my prosthetist since day one over the pin system because my stump is fine they took mine right above the knee. I think next time I go I’m gonna really push for a new socket because right now the only thing holding me back oddly enough is the damage my prosthetic does itself lol I’ll keep ya updated and thanks again.

James Rowland you’re welcome James. Good luck with the socket and please keep us posted ☀️👍

Well we got the blister problem fixed it was something I was doing wrong lol and I found out something cool. My socket is both shuttle lock and suction. So soon as I’m done shrinking they can make it into a suction system in under 5 minutes. Got a rotator put on to make getting in and out of cars a lot easier. I highly recommend those for right leg amputees (if the steering is on the left side like in the states of course)

Hello! Thank you for your video! I am not an amputee myself but I’m working on prosthetic socket project and your video are helping me to get a better understanding of current issues that lower limb amputees are struggling with! I would love to learn more about the prosthetic sockets that you used and your thoughts on how to it can be improved. I am looking forward to your new videos!

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I'm in the hospital now it's Wednesday they cut off my leg Monday. This is very helpful and informative. I have questions, millions of them, but before I waste your time I'll search your videos. At this point I just want to say thanks! Sincerely.

@@theampedlife thanks so much for the acknowledgement and the response. As far as questions are concerned, right now I dont know what to ask to be honest. I'm just going through the motions making my way through the steps toward my first fitting. I do appreciate you reaching out. For now I'm just trying to acquire as much info as I can. The way you organize your thoughts and present them with a simplified structure to me makes the info more easily understood and retained. As time progresses I'm sure I'll have some questions at which point I'll be sure to ask. In the mean time: Keep it up brother! Much appreciated!

First, I love hearing from you. I'm a new below-knee amputee. In August, 2021, I was finishing a fourth week of double antibiotics, to fight a blister infected on the bottom of my toe. It went bad, and I was out of it for half a month, in the meantime, they'd amputated my left foot and ankle, and part of my tibia/fibula. I got out of hospital on November 2, I have my prosthesis, and it's not too easy. You inspire me. If I have some clear questions, can I please turn to you? I won't be a bother, I promise.

Össur is the best. Our orhostist also not prefering the pin Lock. Össur silicone liner is the best. There is a lot of different feet for better mobility.

I totally agree, also their support is wonderful. They do mobility clinics I can recommend to any amputee. Really amazing events.

Hi Steve I have been an amputee now for 4 years and only got my prostheses 6 weeks ago. After having to walk with churches for the entire 4 years my Prosthetist (Eugene), who made my prosthetic leg, has put me on one church walking with the leg in order for me to learn walking again. At this time is all about balance for me. Did you have any issues with balance once your leg was amputated and how did you cope with it? Once I am comfortable walking with one church I will learn to walk with a cane until I am able to walk unassisted.

Sorry, Chris not Steve

Ha! I was wondering :-))) No, no real issues, I was fortunate to be on the go from the outset. I fell a few times, but generally coped well. Eugene just helped me to go next level mobility, I'm really grateful for what he has done for me. Have you tried the Ossur solution? @@ottoscholtz9338
