Love this Video. I’m LBKA and listening to you describe how to how you run with a normal foot confirms some of my thoughts of how I need to learn to run. Hoping to run 10k and a normal prosthetic foot. I’m learning skateboarding and I’ve tried boulder climbing. Have so much I want to do and watching and listening to inspiring people like yourself helps with build and maintain confidence to keep pushing forward 👍🏻🙏🏻👏🏻

Hi, im esya from Indonesia... my right leg had been amputed about 7 years ago hen i as 17 years old.. i really miss for run, because my phrosthetic leg not able for run... My doctor said i should buy a prostetic that specially designe for running

Try walking fast first, and make sure you have the right knee to do it. Not every prosthetic knee are mend for running.

Ronnie,I am an amputee (3 years) I have a c-leg. I'd love to run but cannot seem to get the action right...I have to skip with my good leg. I don't know if I'm doing the movement wrong or what. My ortho man says the c-leg is not to be used for running.So I wish I knew what I needed to do.I'd love to feel my body run again.I ran everyday prior to my accident.Thanks for any help.

Hello, I'm a spinal cord injury, but my injury is not complete, my left leg moves perfectly, but my right leg would not hold me because nerve signals are weak, do you think there is a possibility to amputate my right leg use a robotic leg as you use if there are nerve signals that travel from my brain to my right leg?

looks like you need to extend your toes on your good foot more (at least thats what it looks like in my view), you seem to be dropping as you transition without letting your left foot work as it should and transition over to your good leg by extending your good toe up and put more you will get a smoother gate, at least i do when I walk,

Hey ronnie I just have a couple of questions lost my leg 18 months ago they have been trying to fit me in my permanent leg for the past 11 months lots of problems. I think they may have it but now we're having issues with finding a foot ,I'm very active I'm back to work and I need somthing that is light and I want alot of flexibility I'm in the silhouette now and don't care for it what would you suggest

thanks so much for your quick reply.I can't get another leg yet so I'm trying to do with this one.The running feet are so much also. I just ordered a poweriser foot...don't know if your familiar... I will try to come up with some design. My gait is what's off. I can't seem to run with out skipping on my good leg to catch up for the next step. Wish I could figure it out. I watch your video and try to see what is different about my process but just can't figure it out...thanks

Been through knee for almost 6 years and I still have major problems (used to be a below knee and could play sport and run), I can hardly go for a decent walk let alone run. I wish I could.

@mwestervelt My experience was similar. I really wanted to run foot-over-foot. I was sponsored by Flex Foot, Mauch, USMC, and Hanger so I had good equipment (VSP and SNS). I got some hints on the internet and in about 30 minutes taught myself to run foot-over-foot. Once I did that, it was never important to me again. I guess I just needed to do it once. That was 16 years ago and I've never felt the need to do it again. It gave me a sore back and was inconvenient, so once I did it...

@mwestervelt It is very difficult to run with a C-leg. I have only ever known a few people that could do it. I recommend the other set up for running, Total Knee 2100 with an Ossur Flex Run. This is the easiest and most efficient setup for running. If your prosthetist is not familiar with fitting running legs, I work at a company that specializes in working with athletes. We work with Paralympic runners and Triathletes from all over the country. Let me know if you need any other info.
