Thank you. Very helpful. I think my carbon fibre foot has snapped. I will now be able to find out if it has before making a trip to see my prosthetist. Ain't KZbin wonderful. Wasn't very hopeful when I put this in the search bar, but up you popped.

Super helpful. Speaking as one that is uninsured, money is always a concern. So looking at the tool you showed, I took a pair of Vicegrips and a Butterknife and bent and moved it in to shape. Worked awesomely

Nice video. I am an AK and just got an X3 last year so I'm planning on hitting the water a lot more this year. That foot shell tool will make it soooo much easier getting it off and on! Thanks for sharing. All the best to you!!

The socks that come on the inside of a prosthetic foot are special Kevlar socks that are intended to keep the carbon fiber from cutting through the foot shell.

Hi Dani! Do you have issues with loose foot shells?
@daniburt97803 жыл бұрын
I do. I actually have that now which typically means I need a new foot because my heel is worn thin

Thank you so much for the video. Would you have any links to where to buy the tool you use? I've tried everywhere. Cheers from Ireland

hi i getting my new leg soon . i was wondering if the false foot was soft enough to take shape of shoes like a real foot does ? i have some very cool shoes i would to carry on wearing with my new leg . sad but true ! lol
@amputeetipsbydaniburt27627 жыл бұрын
That's actually a common question :) The foot shell is somewhat soft and it changes based on the company who makes it. If the foot is slightly bigger than what fits in my shoe, I sand it down to fit. Most of the time it fits and there isn't an issue. If the shoe has any type of heel to it, like an oxford, you'll have to change the angle of the ankle so it accommodates for that.
