Amputee Travel: Playa Boca Barranca, Costa Rica Adaptive Surfing Professionals Surf Competition

My first surf competition in Playa Boca Barranca. The waves were 2-4 ft during my stay. It’s a beautiful river mouth point break with minute long rides. The water and air were in the 80s.
I competed in the Above Knee Standing division. I got 2nd place out of 3 competitors and won $500. I surfed using an Aulie knee and a custom foot. I ride an 8’6” Naish Hokua SUP. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any surfing videos.
I stayed at the Puerto Azul Hotel, which is 15 mins from the break. It was $80/night with a great breakfast included.
