Harsha Biliangady The sad thing is much deeper because we share the same ancestors and the same ancient history. You see religion is truly at great fault here. Any so called religion which decides it’s for your betterment to separate you from your own family, ancestors, culture and history on the basis of something termed ‘Jahilya ought to be kicked straight out of the door. The sooner we realise that religion has little to do with god or the so called truth the healthier our mental, emotional, spiritual and secular wellbeing. That religions are just imperialistic tools for political machinations and instruments for sedition is clear in the formation of Afghanistan, Pakistan East Pakistan, the Kashmir conflict and the truncation of our ancient homeland and culture.
@ivarhakuse85727 жыл бұрын
Harsha Biliangady it is but a mistaken though common cliché to state that music has no language or religion. Each music is a reflection of the soul of a culture. Indian music has a totally different sound and expression than that of Chinese or Maori music. If music were so universal then far far more people would listen to international music but the fact is they don’t! Because it sounds so different if not even unpalatable. Moreover armies usually have music corps and in times before the present, musicians would accompany soldiers onto the battlefields to enthuse their side. Have you never heard the common nursery rhyme ‘soldier soldier won’t you marry me with your musket fife and drum?’ Yes music can give an insight but the sense of unity through listening has to come from your own self. Please don’t forget that in certain religions such as Islam music is considered Haraam so I really can’t understand people like abida touting for their pride in their recently adopted religion.

There are hundreds of best renditions of yaman but the main intention of any raga is not its technicality (taan,alankar,alap,harkat,gamak,meend,mukri etc) but the feelings and emotions that raga brings in the audience
