He does an amazing job of hiding the lack of extra notes of the manuals (they only go up to a c’’’ when the music dictates that the manuals go up to a g’’’, which was fairly new at the time)- this piece was not meant for a Baroque organ, yet Mr. Den Toom nails it completely and interprets this piece flawlessly.

Prachtig, Marco! Wat een indrukwekkende vertolking. Wat een speelplezier. Wat een beheersing van een orgel waarvan je soms hoort dat het niet zo makkelijk te bespelen is. Ik zal deze video zeker vaker beluisteren en bekijken. Het is altijd een genot om een top organist 'in volle vlucht' te horen en te zien!

Archiviste l'instrument n'est pas très adapté pour ce genre de littérature... Le rythme correspond aux indications recommandé mais je trouve l'articulation peu dans le style ce cette musique et il faut composer avec les registrations et l'acoustique un peu sèche....mais contrairement à ce que vous dites je trouve justement que les thèmes sont surjoués et pas suffisamment fondus comme sur les orgues françaises cavaillé ou merklin. Mais on apprend bcp de cette version... on joue bien du bach sur des instruments symphoniques !!!!

Ik heb al veel geluisterd naar je videos en bewonder je enorme techniek...maar, af en toe lijkt het wel of er een wervelwind waait door de kerk, zo snel je dan speelt, waardoor je spel soms enigszins "verward" aanhoort...Sorry, absoluut geen kritiek maar, misschien alleen een puntje van aandacht ??

Likely not. When it was built they did not have the power to produce wind for those hungry pipes. The principal stop on the Pedal is a 16' The 32 is a subharmonic.
