Dutch follower here! The statue is to remember the fallen during World War II. Love to see Amsterdam in your vlog, but a recommendation for followers who want to go to the Netherlands: don't go to Amsterdam. Go to Utrecht. It's a little smaller but just as cute as Amsterdam and less crowded by tourists.
