Wow, I love the streets with no cars and people staying fit just by walking. Love your pink scarf. Lot's of old world charm in Amsterdam. You know, I wish the puffer jacket never got invented, everyone looks like caterpillars. I went to a place called Schwerin I think, in East Germany, not long after the wall came down and there was a row of buildings, about 5 stories and they have gigantic flowers on the facade, maybe from the Art Nouveau era, amazing, so beautiful. So many people wanted to buy them, all dilapidated. Like a daisy going up 5 stories, incredible.

Beatrice I used Gate 1 Travel and they arranged all the travel and hotels. The hotel in Amsterdam was NH City Centre, Amsterdam, Netherlands, it was perfect. Perfect location, service, staff every thing was great.

If one is a prude, Amsterdam isn't for you. Seemed more quaint. Was the approach to foreigners different between Paris and Amsterdam? I have heard from people I know that have gone to Paris say the locals aren't friendly to people from other countries. I saw you had an issue at the restaurant. That wasn't nice.Glad you had fun.
