Hello Stewy & Emory! Thanks so much for another great video. Its amazing how everyone has there own lane in Holland...bikes, trams, cars...lol. Zaanse Schans, oh boy, one of my favorite places in The Netherlands! Like I mentioned earlier, my wife is Dutch. I loved watching you both try all the different cheese flavors. I've been in several windmills and they are all fascinating as was yours. That was a yummy "Gevuled Koek" that Stewy had at minute 17:03, my favorite desert in Holland. 😋 Loved watching you both...keep up the journey!

We're heading back to Amsterdam in April for the Tulip Festival.. I'll definitely be eating more of the Gevuled Koek. Emery is going to also.

Are you going to the Keuken Huf? We got tickets in advance each time we've been there. You'll love it! Make sure you try the snack called "broodje kroket" which is like a fried breaded beef roux (they also have vegetarian). It looks like a bigger mozzarella stick but taste much better served on a small hotdog roll. We like it with mustard that they give you in packs. Another menu menu item you can try are the "broodje gezond." A famous dish for any meal is the Dutch pancakes. We normally have them for a brunch or dinner. Our favorite has cheese & bacon., but you can get all sorts of goodies inside the pancake or on top. The batter is VERY different from US pancakes, much thinner like a crepe. There are restaurants that specialize in serving pancakes. And you have to eat the famous french fries in Holland, BRAN LAZAGE has the best but they're all yummy. And you don't eat them with ketchup, you eat them with "Frietsaus" a thick mayo which is very yummy. The more the better! Rotterdam has a lot of nice things to see & do. Its only a 30--45 minute train ride from Amsterdam. That is where Gerdien's family lives, where she grew up, and where we spend most of our time when we visit.

Keuken Huf will be one of the stops, we plan to stay for awhile this time and see more outside Amsterdam. All the food you mentioned sounds delicious... here we go, another 8 pounds gained, hehe.

Enjoyed the tour of the wooden houses & historic windmills and the landscape. Interesting cheeses at the cheese farm. I believe I was in Amsterdam 33 years ago and also stepped into those large wooden clogs. I just love all the delicious looking pastries offered in the bakery.
