Thanks for this! I took the plunge a few months ago and bought an AMT SH-100 (later version) and love it! It sounds great and has so many great features. So far I am very impressed by AMT products.

You're welcome! Yes, I've seen couple of videos of AMT SH-100, and it sounds like a beast. Shame company is not as known :( And that amps is hard to find, lucky you! :D These pedals are really great if you want to add flavour to your rig, definitely brings the characters of each amp they emulate, and in combo with good power amp, sound amazing! I'm really interested when they'll release that bricks board, that looks like the most innovative thing in pedal building in years. Not a lot of news around that.

THANK YOU for your honesty...... I am more into rock than metal so I'm not sure if they're the right thing for me because I didn't hear you playing rock. But you seem to be a very for real kind of person!
@PetarMakesNoise
@PetarMakesNoise 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for kind words! As for rock tones out of these, I think B-Lead would be the best pick overall, with gain dialed back a bit on the edge of breakup, I definitely could say that some good crunch tones can be dialed in :) I usually don’t play rock, but I’ll try to add some rock riffs into demos from now on. Have a nice day!

I dont understan why everyone Is fixated on demoing AMT almost exclusively for metal with over the top gain. I have the SS-20 and the crunch Chanel is good enough for blues, Classic rock and classic metal, Is very articulated for chords and cleans up nicely, direc to interface Is one thing but intro a real can with a guitar power amp and proper guitar cab/speakers at gig volumen it is a decente option for portable and ligthweigth rig. I would love to try these bricks for the Marshall and 5150 sounds.

Hi, do you know if this pedal can be remotely controlled by connecting an external (third party) footswitch to the CTRL IN/OUT port?

Personally, sounds like the mid knob could've been dialed in a bit lower on all for the in-the-mix sounds. Many of the sounds get so stuffy at times.

Nice demo Petar. I also find the B lead the most impressive. Please tell me. When gain is rised, does it make much noise? Thanks
@PetarMakesNoise
@PetarMakesNoise 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! As far as noise is related, nothing out of ordinary when gain is pushed, pretty transparent. One thing is a bit weird, with one amp when I pushed volume on preamp to maximum, it did create a bit of feedback noise, but I think its just the combo of pedal and amps fx loop that made it noisy that way.
@neighbourhoodmusician
@neighbourhoodmusician Жыл бұрын
@@PetarMakesNoise I use a B-Lead live and I will say that it is more likey to feedback that most amps/preamps but it can be controlled with use of a decent noise gate. It's worth it for the really transparent and open distortion this thing gives.

You are a bit wrong. This pedals have full analog circuits.
@PetarMakesNoise
@PetarMakesNoise 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, you are right! I was misled by a couple of discussions online that it did have digital parts (but those are mainly due to integration for the pedalboard by AMT), circuitry itself is fully analog. What's different is that it uses tubes as well instead of just op-amps or diode clipping for example.
@Leemuzhko
@Leemuzhko 4 жыл бұрын
@@PetarMakesNoise AMT don't use OP-amps or diode clipping in their preamps or heads. They use JFET technology (in Stonehead, LA/LA2 preamps, SS-30) And Bricks and SS-20 are hybrid Tube/JFET
@PetarMakesNoise
@PetarMakesNoise 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I know that, thats why I said that compared to other pedal makers, they don’t rely like majority on op-amps and diode clippings.

@PetarMakesNoise 4 жыл бұрын
What do you mean? I used same guitar recording, same cabinet IRs, just preamps are different. In mix demo I more or less dialed in tone I like for each of them, but they’re quite different from each other (except R/S lead switches, that pedal and switches are really similar sounding). Overall, they have very different sounds, but they’re all hi gain amps, so in the end, achieve same results if dialed in correctly.

Without an overdrive in front of them... it's not my cup of tea!
@PetarMakesNoise
@PetarMakesNoise 4 жыл бұрын
Same for me :) I kept B-Lead - and I still do use it almost daily, but I do love pushing overdrive in front, or at least a clean boost with EQ. At least for metal tones that I like. it's possible to go crunch path and more rock sounds. But honestly - most of the amps I play, need a boost, so it's almost a must-have. But def - these preamps take pedals like a champ, that's for sure.
@ahriik
@ahriik 4 жыл бұрын
I feel like that isn't really a downside, the real versions of these high-gain amps usually perform best with an overdrive in front anyway. I don't think I ever go into amps/pre-amps/modelers of these styles without an overdrive (I've found some 5150-type amps can be tweaked to be chuggy and tight without an OD though).
