TC is a proper automatic infact it s the conventional one...AMT is not considered as an automatic transmission...it's an automated manual with an actuator.....TC is always miles better than AMT....lag might be there with respect to the speed number...for example, TC is available like 5-speed, 6-speed, 7-speed and when the number increases, the lag will decrease and will be fun to drive..the only con will be the fuel consumption will be little high...that's why cars like Maruti Brezza and S-Cross are mated to a 4-speed unit to give respectable fuel efficiency to the customers...but if a user needs and enthusiastic drive, they stay away from 4-speed unit.
