it's amazing to think that all the heritage locos were once locos that had extensive exterior damage b/c of accidents and now they look pristine

Great shooting! AMTK 77 sure sounds great, and got two guys up there waving to you... awesome!

Every time my family takes a trip we catch AMTRAK we can. And no matter how my wife states " I can't stand to hear those brakes engage to slow down", I think she really does. No matter how loud the metal to metal contact!!

That was a FAST 40 years! I remember before all this occurred! Amtrak is fine but I miss those days of the original passenger trains with the logo of their railroad on the seats! Anybody else out there remember the years before Amtrak? Weren't they great! Used to ride to Florida on PRR/Southern/SAL rails.Guess I'm just an old sentimentalist. May 1 1971...remember it well.

I’ve seen P42DC 184 in person on another Northeast Regional train at Quantico VA near Woodbridge close to where I live. I don’t think it was around the time this was recorded tho

@trainkid16 Thanks. It was a surprised to see them all 3 in one day. First one was No. 145 in Feb. Didn't think we would see all 3.

@howardkevinm There are a total of 4 P42DC's, 1 F40PH, & 1 P40DC No. 822 in different paint schemes. As for Phase II only No. 66. Then there is No. 145, No. 822 & F40PH in Phase III which is similar to Phase II.
