Amtrak Bear Shop - Acela storage/grave yard and other trains

Power cars 2001 & 2003 have been moved to Wilmington for refurbishments. Saw them both there on Tuesday. The passenger cars however, are still there for refurbishments

Acela sets 2, 5 and 7 might go for refurbishment

@@christianlovell570 Unfortunately they won't be able to be refurbished. So many parts have been taken off of them that there's no hope left to bring them back. The only one of those 3 that has a slight chance of coming back is TS-7 but it's more likely than not going to still be used for parts

I have received news that Acela set 4 (2001, 3200, 3507, 3508, 3300, 3519, 3401, 2003) will be sent to Wilmington, Delaware and will be rebuilt and is expected to return in 2024

Was ACS-64 601 scrapped, because I don’t see it present in the Bear facility.

Sets 2, 4, 5, and 7 are down there. Once beautiful high speed trains racing through the Northeast Corridor but now reduced to a source of spare parts

Sadly 3 of the sets are going to stay in storage and never run again but 2001/2003 or trainset 4 is going to be taken out of storage and sent to Wilmington, Delaware for a rebuild and it will run once again
