Looks like a great idea, people like the look of the older locomotives and they were having problems with the bi-level control units, so keeping the cabs of the locomotives and using the engine bay as a baggage area looks like a great idea. Thanks for the video.

@Ali Muhammad Basically the federal government is intervening in what content creators can and cannot make (for monetization) based on an incredibly old, and vaguely written law that came out in 1998 that only suddenly became an issue. It's illegal to collect data on viewers under the age of 13. The way KZbin (and any website for that matter) works is they collect all the data from the users (in KZbin's case, what viewers watch, what content they watch, and when they watch, etc) to help predict and streamline the service for them by recommending content suited to your interests. Where this really violated federal law (so to speak) is targeted advertising. I could go into more detail but just look up videos on COPPA (the law). What this potentially could do to creators who create kids content, is seriously impact any revenue made on those videos, as well as all KZbin features will be turned off for those videos since data cannot be collected (you will not be able to comment, etc). Even those who do not create kid-friendly content, and claim they don't, can still be at risk if somehow it is viewed or determined as such, in which case the federal government can come at you and fine you directly, even though it's something that's totally out of our control! I think it sounds like a bigger issue than it really is right now, so hopefully as time progresses KZbin will come up with better ways to protect content creators, as well as the audiences watching the videos. Also, hopefully the government will ease up on their ridiculously unnecessary overreach in this position, which really at its core has NOTHING to do with protecting children, in fact, the blow back could be way worse for younger audiences by disincentivising the creation of content for younger audiences.

I have a goofy question ... slack control. The power unit is always pushing, or "tugging" when decelerating. Kinda opposite if power unit is up front. I wonder if operators have any trouble adapting if they come from head end power units? Also ... some control cars dont have independent brakes so the operator can't really do any bail off and he/she can only apply brake through whole consist. Do these former F-40 units have indep brakes? Just curious.

Make it an around-the-country train trip! Don't know where you live specifically, so I'll guess: Lake Shore Limited to Chicago, then Builder to Seattle, Starlight to L.A., Coaster to San Diego and back to L.A., then Chief to Chicago and Lake Shore home. Or from L.A., take Sunset Limited to NOLA, then Crescent to DC and NW Regional to MA. In case you're wondering: yes, I'm planning to take a trip like that in the next year or so before Amtrak kills any more routes.
