I’m here in Houston rn visiting a friend and I decided that I was gonna take the train back (46hrs) home to DC. This will be my first time EVER on an Amtrak train, let alone a long distance one.

Great video as always. Last time I was in DC I stayed at the Phoenix Park Hotel, only about a block or so from Union Station. A beautiful hotel and an easy walk for an old guy like me. Keep the Amtrak videos coming!

Thanks for the videos. I took a mini vacation just by enjoying your DC trip. In Arizona and planning an AMTRAK trip.

The Hyatt is where I recommend my customers stay when traveling the Cardinal and they want to stay downtown. A great alternative is the Hilton at Alexandria. It’s across the street from Amtrak ALX and the metro stop is right there as well.

The Circulator bus actually has different routes that can take you to different parts of the city for free! I stayed in the Adams Morgan neighborhood a couple of years ago, and we could get to a lot of places on different Circulator routes.

Union Station in DC is really nice. Metro rail transportation to all parts of DC is right there. Due to the fact that my son attended GW my hotel experience is in the nice NW area of DC near Washington Circle and Foggy Bottom Station. Good eats there as well as a Whole Foods Market. Love your videos.

Good job covering my city. It's pronounced Udvar Hah-zy, not hazy like the sky. Even with Covid it's a great museum where you can socially distance yourself. I see you were here during the peak of the cicadas - another unique experience.

Please begin your videos with basic information like the route, where you started, what class service, etc. Maybe that's in the video somewhere but I don't want to spend 20 minutes finding out.

You need to do some narration when filming outside the train and on the way to places like your hotel room tour. Videos without narration are too boring to stick around for.
