It looks like you traveled this route in a Coach class seat. How did you honestly feel about traveling in a seat for over 40 hours? The roomettes are too costly so I am trying to decide weather to take this beautiful scenic trip by train or just fly home.

+Lorrie Rose Yeah, it's quite uncomfortable on the second day, but I was walking through different coaches, laying down in observation car. Although I remember it was cold at the night (they have really powerful conditioners:)), so don't forget to grab a blanket. For more comfortable sleep take a pillow. Have a nice trip!
