That old 5M blower is one weird-sounding creature! Someone's been tampering with the delay relay it sounds like, and has also managed to wire the blower motor up the wrong way. Still sounds freaking awesome, nice catch Bill!

Weird attack. Reminds me of the French Park 1000T in Cincinnati.

Normal also had two Hurricane MKIIs Before 2005.

Yeah, they used them for a short time period in the early to mid 1960s before they stepped down to the 4M. The ones with these 5Ms are the loudest ones they've ever produced since the beginning, since these 5M blowers have an air output of right around 325CFM instead of the usual 250CFM found on later A2s and B/C Series with the 4M blower. Single tone T-bolts with this blower, when running right of course, have an output of about 131-132dBC @ 100 feet, whereas the 4M could only do about 128dBC.

Sound like the chopper closes at the end of the winddown. Since the blower was running backwards, the wasn’t allowing it to get any air, causing it to sound odd.

Andy, yes its starting to upload. and Tyler, you ain't kidding. love the longass winddown tho. makes up for it

I could give you any location as well. For reference, Bloomington-Normal has 8 Thunderbolts (1000 and 1000T), 3 2T22s, 2 2001's, 1 Penetrator, and 14 T-128s. They say to have 3 more sirens as well, but don't show them on their map. Tests are done on the first Tuesday of every month at 10 AM.

+Grey61761 (Basshead30) any idea why they took this one down and if anything replaced it?
@Grey-sf4zo8 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure why they took it Down and they probably replaced it with a t128 that's what Bloomington-Normal uses mostly

Thanks for the info! I thought that these were the later C series blowers, but I was wrong. This is the same blower type that most of the Thunderbolts in Honolulu have.

I think it has a chopper problem, so the attack was messed up.

I didn't know they made 5M blowers for Tbolts. I thought they were all 4M or 6M. The agastat is definitely really messed up on this one.
