@@ronaldherrera191 I loved the first season, but after reading the manga, you see that the anime actually completely butchers the actual sequence of events within the time span it covers, on top of the regular dropping of smaller details and things that's normal for an adaptation. Example, in the anime, Ikki battles the Skull Saders after learning how to ride ATs, twice. One was an Air battle up an alleyway, one was a Dash that involved grinding train power lines. In the manga Ikki only fights the Air battle against them, but it was so early in the series he couldn't actually ride yet and instead just knocked the guy out by taking one of his ATs off, pressing it against the wall, and then kicking it, so that it shot up the wall and smashed him in the face.

Problem is the manga went downhill as Oh Great! ran out of ideas/lost interest which means unless changes are made that are actually for the better the anime will follow it.

That makes a lot of sense. As for the fillers, they often use them to delay the series to let the manga get farther ahead and sometimes to try and improve the use of character development. Though I agree completely with the statements above. Not all shows get all the rating they want and will often stop for that reason, even if people elsewhere find it amazing. And the ending they use to tie up the television series do usually suck.
