You know... when I first saw this anime and manga, I kept thinking that Tatsumi and Esdeath would be the last ones standing after an all out fight between both sides, and since Tatsumi has Incursio an armor that has never ending evolution would "evolve" to defeat Esdeath once and for all. He goes and picks up everyone's "Imperial Arm" and is fused into the armor. Akame's.... "Masume?" in the right hand, his own spear or sword in the left hand, Mine's "Pumpkin" mounted on his shoulder, and whats-his-name's string Imperial Arm infused into his gloves, and Loene's Belt replacing his own on the armor. And well... Susano is kind uh... never mind. But boy was I wrong!

i like how this anime made ppl want to choose a side but couldn't because the stories for each one are really touching. The only antagonists i saw were the minster and some side characters everyone else was fighting for what they thought was right.

I never quite understood why Mine actually died. She managed to kill Budo with that last super powerful shot without getting hit. She died because of a previous wound or because Pumpkin got destroyed? Maybe I should watch it again :D

well she did get hit by the general's hit. It just her shot went right through the blast. So essentially they hit each other rather than mine's blast dispersing the general's blast.
