I don't get why people think that Dazai would be a better main protagonist than Atsushi; Atsushi has less experience, which adds to the former effect, which in my point of view is vital for if you want to make a long lasting anime. The main protagonist has to go through hardships, and faces reality and flaws that they must fix in order to become someone who they may desire to be. If the main protagonist was Dazai, then the anime would considerably be short, since Dazai's born a natural. He's skilled at certain things that Atsushi isn't, so in that matter of fact; Dazai is *not a former*. He's already skilled and wouldn't have to face that many hardships without being skeptical because he's experienced.
