I just finished rewatching the series. He is definitely a well-written character. In the anime he looks more like a hero, but later in manga he becomes more a character with his own interests. And the further, the more controversial his behaviour becomes.

@@aasray I don't think he can be called hero. Maybe anti-hero, but for hero he has done and continues to do so many bad things (even if his goals are good, it still bad things). For example, he manipulates many characters forcing them to do what he needs them to do. Oh, and let's not forget for Dazai there is no difference between good and bad, he's just doing what Oda asked him to do before he died. Of course, you may have a different opinion, I'm not trying to change your mind. I'm just answering your question🤗❤

@@gekkajuu yeah I understand that. My reasoning was more on the lines that because of the respective natures of the organizations he was in, it was tough to get close to people in PM. But he seems to be getting very close to atsushi. So I think he does care for the Ada in his own way, in a way he never did with the pm. Similarly I’m using color from the manga. In the PM he wore black, in the ADA he wore beige and now he’s wearing full white. Of course it’s because he’s in a prison but the author could have chosen any other clothing or environment but chose that. So just my pet theory that he might not be perfect but is becoming better thanks to following oda

This is *DAMN* good. AMVs have been around since the early 2000 (over 20 years) and I've noticed not many truly understand the assignment in the last few years or so, which is: 1. A good sense of song choice. 2. Truly listening to the song composition, lyrics and rhythm to match the cuts with. 3. Truly understanding the characters and which scenes to use to overall give the AMV the feel of said character too. 1 million in under a year is well deserved and here's to many million more, I could watch this over and over easily! The lead up to the chorus and the chorus itself is so bloody fun to watch!

Music suits him so damn good and especially combination between frames *.* (I almost cried, it's so perfect 0:30 and 0:48 and 1:00 and 1:17 and 1:37 and 2:07 and 2:25 and I can do this pretty long). AND I'm in love with your idea (I hope I understood it right), that Dazai's always a villain, it doesn't matter wich coat he has on: his eyes are always "red" inside and there are too many lines that repeated when he's in mafia and in ADA. @@DaryaDyuzheva so as far as motivation, there is one driving force that sort of explains his recent actions. It was Oda’s last words to him, “Be on the side that saves people. If both sides are the same, then choose to become a good person. Save the weak, protect the orphaned,” Dazai joined the ADA, whose main goal is to solve cases and protect the city, and sometimes the world by extension. On top of doing his job, he is trying his best to fulfill Oda’s last dying wish. However, Dazai is a person who has no morals and a “for the better good” mentality. An example of this is when he sabotaged Ango’s car with the intent to save the city as well as Kyoka. So no he is not a good person, he’s just trying to fulfil his friend’s wish by using his abilities in a way that helps more people than it hurts
