When the anime showed how many bad occurrences happen every day and the people act like it's no big deal, I thought it was absurd and unrealistic. I later realized we live the same way...so many things happen all around us and the world at the same time but we wake up and go do our thing everyday

That's because those events don't affect us. Some war 3K+ miles away won't affect us, because it's so far away. Some kid dying in a poor country won't affect (most) of us, because we didn't know them. Some robbery in a different state/country/province won't affect us, cause we have no reason to care. (Unless it's our money that got stolen I guess) To sum it up, most events don't affect us, because we either don't care, or don't know about it.

No, that is not at all what the anime is about. 1. What the *story* is *about* is human nature, and the constant battle between hope and despair, right and wrong, haves and have nots. 2. Although there's lots of spectacle, it serves a purpose: a combination of mindless entertainment, demonstrations of the themes, and a distraction from the deeper plot. 3. Only one character has the Eyes, and his power isn't even that good (by anime standards). One of the main plot points is how rarely the main protagonist gets to be useful.

@@StikeMight Sure dude! So the MC's name is Leonardo Watch he is currently in Hellsalem's Lot or once known New York. Leo is searching for a way to give the sight of his sister back that was taken from her when he got his new op eyes. He is a hobby journalist and otherwise pretty normal. Like I said earlier he is not a fighter but his eyes help the crew while fighting and generally but if he ever land in a fight you have to know he is a coward. I personally love this anime a lot because it is the perfect match between comedy, action and the supernatural. I would say just look the first few episodes of this and your hooked. Hope this helps (^_-)
