I’m pretty sure this is by far the most popular FFVII GMV of all time to the point where if you look up the song, the AMV actually shows up. Also, I just wanted to try my hand at editing to the song, so yeah.

On another note, I’ve been feeling quite burnt out recently, so I might slow the pace that I’m putting these out, so they may be quite infrequent from now on. I hope you all understand!
Anyway, this is easily the longest edit I’ve made to date, so hope you enjoy!

This is pretty much what drives everyone in VII to fight cuz if you think about it, they all deep seeded regret. For Cloud it's way too many events and characters that he personally feels responsible for. Both Sephiroth and Angeal share the burden for Genesis. Maybe Zack as well but I know his main focus was on Angeal, Aerith and Cloud. Some would argue the unexplored connection to Ciss, but it's not like Square gave us to much in the Crisis Core events to speculate upon. Whew,....Tifa will always be Cloud and her close knit extended family but I think what really hit hard with her is losing her Dad the way she did. I would like to think Barrett's will always be Dyne and his wife. So he feels that no matter what, he will live and die to see Dyne's daughter Marlene grow up and live a life that surpasses her birth father's. For Cid it's a lot to do with not being able to truly fulfill his space missions as well as a slew of other regrets I can only hope that Remake will touch on that the original game back in 1997 did not. Vincent..... always freaking Lucrecia. I just can't with that one. Maybe I won't hold such animosity towards her in Remake, but I have never ever cared for her mostly for what happens with Vincent and yes, even what happens with Sephiroth. Anyways, I just wrote a mini novel and didn't even mean to.... 😅 My point went there and then some. I think I accidentally forgot to include Aerith, Nanaki, Reeve aka Cait Sith, but I purposely left out Yuffie lol 😂 idk, I still have issues steming from my OG days with both her and Lucrecia 😊 But I digress, it's time for me to shut up and leave with a quick note of gratitude, so ty for creating and sharing your work with all of us to enjoy. Wow! What a comment! And yeah, I completely agree with everything you just said, it’s interesting that each character has a motivation stemming an important person in their own life, or most cases anyways. It’s hard to think of one for Aerith, because Ifalna and Gast were both taken from her at quite young ages. Maybe Zack’s disappearance from her life, but I’m not sure. I’ve actually been reading the Traces of Two Pasts novel on Tifa/Aerith’s backstory and haven’t got around to Aerith’s part yet so I guess I’ll find more out about that later. Nanaki’s probably started off with him being the legacy of his mother but after he learnt about the true nature of his father, he probably aspired to be like Seto as well. I’d assume Reeve has the classic motivation of Shinra needing a morally good person to try and mitigate the level of their evil, which he kinda helps in? Im wondering if we’ll get more of him, especially seeing as they introduced Cait Sith earlier for a few seconds during the plate drop in Remake. And Yuffie, haha fair enough. She’s probably just trying to redeem Wutai to its former greatness or something. As for Lucrecia, I don’t think I’ll ever understand what she saw in Hojo to ditch Vincent for him. Hojo is the true villain of the series, after all. And yep, now it’s my turn to shut it. I’m glad you enjoyed the edit! Have a good rest of the weekend!

@@cosmiccomet_2705With Yuffie I can't really say that I feel like I know her well enough, but I do know she feels like she's inferior to her Dad and she doesn't amount to a child that he sees honor in. Again, I was fuming ticked because she took all my materia at the time and left my entire party to die lol. So I barely paid attention to her interactions with the natives of Wutai, but it's my all-time favorite game, so I still remember some of it. Reeve, oddly enough shares a bond with Denzel. Idk if you know about it, but whenever I read it I bawled like a baby. Even worse was whenever they made a mini anime short about the exact same story. So Reeve holds a Hell of a lot of respect for me as does his connection with Denzel, R.I.P. Ruby Anyways, I think after all the BS Lucrecia did and saw just how far Hojo went with the torment he bestowed upon Vincent, only then did she truly do right by him and put him to eternal sleep in the casket they later find him resting in. My hate runs deep for her character because all that I really knew of her came from the OG in 1997. And it took what, several years after it for Dirge to even become what it is today. The one thing that's fully blocked in my head is whether or not she willingly knew Hojo was experimenting on their unborn child. I mean there's obviously a reason why she's in the catalyst crystal she's in but yeah.... I sorta am curious about that? But do I even care deep down? Nope, not in the least because at the end of the day both Sephiroth and Vincent will still have to deal with the reprictions and lack there of that both she and Hojo had their hands in. As for Gene, he houses a lot of hate for his parents keeping the mere fact that he was adopted from him. One would assume that's not an easy pill to swallow, but Genesis being the loveable over dramatic llama he is, went nuts. Of course after the scrape he got from the training room and was experimented on too, well..... let's just say I can see why both he and Sephiroth want to burn everything around them. Lol, okay I promise I am done now 😜

@@thiaulric9053 Yeah that Yuffie sidequest was pretty brutal honestly. I know Yuffie said again and again that she would steal our materia but I never expected her to actually do it! So I can understand why you wouldn’t like her after that whole fiasco haha. And yeah, I know Denzel’s story - I can’t believe it slipped my mind! It was quite heartbreaking to see someone so young have to go through so much trauma. I think Reeve trying to alleviate his sufferings there redeems him for what he threatened to do to Marlene… or at least a bit. As for Lucrecia… I wonder a lot of things about her character. I never had the chance to play Dirge but I’ve seen a few clips online and I really don’t know what to think of her. I’m wondering how Square will deal with her in the Remake, because she’s very much alive and in the OG, however little. It’s ironic to think that both Vincent and Lucrecia attempted to lock themselves away for eternity for a similar sin. And yeah, Genesis. He did always seem the type to want to control and shape his own destiny what with LOVELESS and all, so to find out that Shinra had controlled his very birth would have opposed his ideology absolutely. Shinra was a rotten company anyway, so honestly? Fair enough for deserting. I may be one of the exceptions here when I say Rebirth and R3 featuring compilation characters would be a fun time. To say I’m hyped for the next instalments in the VII saga would be an understatement!
