I mean he did show that he could do great if only he gave them a little time; like tsunade and kounan and even the female kage who could lava related jutsus...even our own girls. Seriously, I mean even if did work on the fillers he could have given them the much deserved screen time. Sakura got the really epic few episodes where she fights alongside lady chio. And then I don't see much of her in a sense.

Sakura ==> suppose to have a great pace of development after the battle against Sasori but Kishimoto decided to make Sakura so inconsistent like that until the war arc of Naruto Shippuden but after her three way deadlock moments with Sasuke and Naruto then Sakura characters got inconsistent a little bit (fortunately she was having good moments of punching Kaguya to make sure she didn't escape from Naruto-Sasuje Six-Path sealing) but after the war arc she is becoming badass more consistently especially in Naruto LN Sakura Retsuden and then you can see her doing great in Boruto Series 2. Kurenai ==> She was interesting in the beginning of Naruto Series but in Shippuden she's wasted lol 3. Tenten ==> almost the same cases as Kurenai but little bit better in Shippuden but still wasted because she had the potential 4. Hinata ==> I know she was good in the War Arc and great in Naruto the last movie but she could have been much better and the momentum of developing her character comes from Pain Arc but unfortunately it doesn't go the way it could be happened for her character to develop more 5. Tsunade ==> Kishi earlier plan was to make Tsunade more active with battling a few of Pains (just like Kakashi) and many female characters wanted to be included in the fights especially vs Conan but he decided to change it so Naruto could be shining more in the pain arc 6. She does use chakra. She releases bursts of chakra at the exact moment she makes contact. This not only gives her punches the force of an explosion, but is also makes her chakra usage super efficient since none of it is being wasted on flashy jutsu.

Because they wrote her main goal through the whole thing to be to impress Sasuke. She got branded annoying yet a lot of other animes had boys equally obsessive over crushes/loves. It was just because the purpose behind her felt... lacking. It was a waste because sure, as a younger kid, I get that hormones and crushes would be pretty loud, but E V E R Y T H I N G was Sasuke through the whole thing. They gave her more power and talent, which she had in the beginning, only to basically say 'You're a mother and wife now. Purpose fulfilled, Sasuke's yours.' When she was an amazing medical ninja and the girl could straight up punch through mountains if we let her - that she did through sheer hard work, I might add. I was annoyed by her growing up because she's basically how everyone views teenage girls as a whole. Despite all the obvious great parts about her, she's reduced to fangirl/love interest. (month old, I know but damn I be salty still. They wasted so much potential in all those women)

@@animelover2428 That's because Sakura is one of the main characters, and considering that, she was very poorly written, for being one of the main she would deserve a much better development, most of the female characters in Naruto are very poorly written, trying to compare one with another is pointless, most of them are pretty much trash, but it happens that women always have so few representation that now women accept any trash the shows offer. Also, a lot of people are guided by this competition between Sakura and Hinata, if you compare Hinata with Hanabi at the end of Naruto, there is no much to say because we know so little, it's the same if you compare her against Tenten or Shizune (it was supposed that Shizune was a good disciple of Tsunade but we never saw her doing anything, she doesn't even have a chance for defending herself against Pain, a least Kakashi and Hinata tried to fight back). Very few female characters in Naruto are okay, and most of the time that is because we almost never know anything about them.

A lot of female characters in naruto lacked intensive character development thus, they appeared one dimensional and stereotypical. 1. Sakura is a great character but her lack of development made her a bitch. 2. Hinata is the stereotypical quiet girl who stalks the main protagonist but gets him anyway at the end of the story because why not? she's one of the main fanservice girls in Naruto. 3. Tsunade had come close to a perfect strong shinobi. she's the sexualized-big boobed 5th hokage that serves fanservice to the fans. 4. Ino, tenten, other female characters, they lacked the screentime and character development. they just stayed by the sidelines because its a mans world and they're just a prop to make everything interesting. 5. Kaguya, of course, make the Main Antagonist a female.

Simple, Kishimoto is just bad at handling female characters and writing a romance development matters Also, she is now the strongest Kunoichi in the shinobi world and the most important figure of the medical ninja You can thank Kishimoto for making many female characters to be so inconsistent and not that impressive You all hate Sakura just because she hit Naruto often where all the cases of that are clearly was for comedy and it was stated by Kishimoto himself There's so many poor handling of female characters by Kishimoto so I will list it for you all 1. Sakura ==> suppose to have a great pace of development after the battle against Sasori but Kishimoto decided to make Sakura so inconsistent like that until the war arc of Naruto Shippuden but after her three way deadlock moments with Sasuke and Naruto then Sakura characters got inconsistent a little bit (fortunately she was having good moments of punching Kaguya to make sure she didn't escape from Naruto-Sasuje Six-Path sealing) but after the war arc she is becoming badass more consistently especially in Naruto LN Sakura Retsuden and then you can see her doing great in Boruto Series 2. Kurenai ==> She was interesting in the beginning of Naruto Series but in Shippuden she's wasted lol 3. Tenten ==> almost the same cases as Kurenai but little bit better in Shippuden but still wasted because she had the potential 4. Hinata ==> I know she was good in the War Arc and great in Naruto the last movie but she could have been much better and the momentum of developing her character comes from Pain Arc but unfortunately it doesn't go the way it could be happened for her character to develop more 5. Tsunade ==> Kishi earlier plan was to make Tsunade more active with battling a few of Pains (just like Kakashi) and many female characters wanted to be included in the fights especially vs Conan but he decided to change it so Naruto could be shining more in the pain arc 6. Shizune ==> Wasted a lot in Shippuden while in Naruto Series she had a good fight vs Kabuto 7. Ino ==> could have been more better because just like Tsunade, she was planned to be more active in the Pain arc and have battle but Kishi wants Naruto to be more shining lol 8. Temari ==> not doing bad but she could potentially being handled better and almost similar cases to Ino and Tsunade which there's an arc where she could be having a great battle to develop her characters before the war arc and should have been handling better at the war arc so it's a shame It's just a few examples and it's clear of how Kishimoto was so poor at handling female characters and hope Sarada will not meet the same fate in Boruto Series Ah IF YOU WANT AN EXAMPLE OF THE SERIES THAT HANDLE A FEMALE CHARACTERS AND MALE CHARACTERS SO BALANCED, well I recommend of watching Jujutsu Kaisen (especially Nobara and I believe she is what Sakura supposed to be in Shippuden by having a few badass battle and development) and Fairy Tail
