[AMV] Strike Witches - The Unkillable Soldier (Sabaton) (Lyrics - CC)

A "The Unkillable Soldier" AMV that became a montage of Yoshika Miyafuji moments.
At first glance Yoshika may seem unlikely to fit Sabaton's song about Adrian Carton de Wiart, but having seen Strike Witches Season 1, 2, The Movie, and Road to Berlin, Yoshika starts off as an isolationist pacifist to a battle-hardened and battle-hungry witch. Once she started fighting she almost always seeks to join a battle, whether it'd be ongoing or not. She had also sustained multiple injuries ranging from minor scratches to life-threatening injuries but still longs to fight, so much so that she had charged into battle with no weapons or no magic or neither of them -- and even against the advice of healthy witches that say Yoshika should run in the opposite direction. And she is crazy to an extent; Patton even questions her sanity in Road to Berlin when she decided to take on the Neuroi by herself which led to her rampage near the end of this AMV.
Some musical and visual beats I wanted to hit:
1) I was adamant to have "An immortal soldier finds his home" to appear with visuals of Yoshika on or near a battlefield and/or in the sky as that's where she appears to be the most comfortable. Mio Sakamoto even noted as such in The Movie.
2) For "Studied law with a thirst for war" I had her coming down the book ladder because she's studying to be a doctor but longs for the battlefield for reasons previously mentioned. Also it's a fun contrast to show a comparatively innocent looking Fuso (Japanese) anime high school girl against the lyrics and the Irish-Belgian de Wiart.
3) Yoshika coming out of the smoke had me thinking of a phoenix being reborn -- into a full-fledged warrior in this case -- hence why I put it at "Born a soldier." Road to Berlin convinced me that Yoshika had fully crossed the line from her pacifist beginnings into her constant thirst for battle.
On a more somber note, today March 6, 2022, the Battleship Iowa Museum had raised a flag in honor of one of its volunteers -- a World War II veteran -- who had passed away. If you ever visit the USS Iowa I recommend heading down to Deck 2 on the port (left side) near frame 140 forward of the enlisted kitchen (sandwiched in between bullseyes 2-138-2 and 2-142-2). There's a board dedicated to all of USS Iowa's volunteers who had passed away over the years and the list will only get longer as time marches on.
