Beautifully done!! A perfect match. This anime haunted me all through childhood; you managed to give voice to that wistful feelings of lover that I could not verbalize nor medicalize as a child. But, here it is, you did it with the right editing of the film and the right musical and lyrical cues. Thank you.

I first saw this video months ago while world-hopping in VRChat. During (what I would guess to be) hours and hours of random world-jumping, I stumbled into a recreation of the Monsters album cover, yet at the time I had no clue who The Midnight were. I remember I was looking out the rainy window and just soaking in the aesthetic of the room when I was startled by the television next to me suddenly powering on. The Midnight logo faded onto the screen and my interest was immediately grabbed. I stood there and watched, completely absorbed both in the video and the room itself. I remember at the time I didn't even know it was an AMV. I just thought it was a music video that also happened to be anime like Shelter. I also remember how strangely real the room felt in that moment. I remember going to wipe the sleepiness from my eyes after the video ended, looking at my stiff, cartoony hand, and remembering "Oh yeah, this is VR." Looking back, it was one of the most magical experiences I'd had in VR. The headset melted from my peripheral vision, the V slipped away, and it just became... R (as sappy as that sounds haha). Anyway, like I said, that was months ago. I've searched for hours in game and on external websites but can't seem to find that world again. Maybe I'm just being dumb and it's just one quick Google search away. Maybe I should just finally create a Reddit account and ask them if they can find it. However, a part of me doesn't even feel like it's worth it anymore. Like listening to Young, Dumb, and Broke once you're out of school and have actual responsibilities, I feel like I'm just chasing a feeling that can only be a memory. ... I guess this is just a long-winded way of saying sick video lol

Hey!! Just saying I came across this edit like 3-4 years ago after getting into the midnight--and I still get chills when rewatching the ending. Thanks so much for bringing these two forms of art together to create a masterpiece. They just fit… soooo well. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
