I remember watching this amazing AU a long time ago. Watching as Chara and Frisk were broken over time, shattered and demoralized as they experienced lifetime after lifetime, tortured just to build the "perfect" universe. They were unwilling participants in a consistently shattered dream, turned to a hell with a devilish edge used to cut them apart from one another. Xtale is one of the best AUs I've ever had the pleasure to see grow.
