The saddest part is that if you think about it kaori really did love him. Using the last of her time on earth, to try and help him. Even tho she knew her time was almost up. She knew she was going to go. But she also knew that she wanted to help heal Kosei from the past. But had to keep a more distant relationship with him. To avoid him feeling more pain than she wanted him to after her death.Koari didn’t want to hurt him. She didn’t want to them to fall in love only for her to die. So she said to she like kosei’s friend. So kosei couldn’t get close to her because she’s my friends girlfriend. So that she remained close enough to her that she could heal her and not feel that much pain. But still close enough. The fact that she cared enough to spend the last time of her life on this earth to help him shows that she truly did love him.

I just finished this anime for the first time, and i cried like I haven’t in years. Beautiful, I like to think that Kaori knew that Kousei was in love with her, but chose to keep her feelings a secret to not hurt him too much when she did pass away. Their relationship and all the scenes that they shared were great. It’s such a sad, but hopeful ending, and she taught him so much. She will always live on in his heart and in the hearts of all that met her and heard her play.

Our family moved around a lot growing up, but we settled down for a few years in a particular city. While I was there I met a girl at school, we were instant friends and hung out a lot. Some people just feel “special” for some reason. You can’t really explain it or even pin point what about them is so extraordinary. But she was; in every way. But our family moved again... I never got the chance (or maybe it was just the courage) to tell her that I thought she was amazing and confess that I liked her. It’s been almost 8 years or so, and I still haven’t forgotten her. I still remember the first time I saw the anime cover that had a music theme, because at that time I was purely looking for an anime with a music genre, And because I don't want to be exposed to spoilers, I didn't read the synopsis first, I didn't even see what genres were contained in this anime. When I watched it, it turned out to have a very sad and short love story But it leaves a deep imprint on the hearts of anyone who watches this sad love story. I don't have any regret at all watching this anime. Worth it.
