SUGA is a definition of true artist. He is such a genius producer and songwriter, who likes to experiment with music, that's why he is so versatile. K-media named him Hand of Midas, Unrivaled producer, King of the music industry. He makes number one hits in absolutely different genres, he created music in r&b, pop, alternative rock, hip hop, pop rock. He is not afraid to try new things, like singing or guitar and he is thinking to learn how to play drums as well. He is an all-rounded musician and since the beginning of his career has piano, keyboard, synthesizer credits across many songs, which are well-known and loved by fans. I'm sure some day in the future we will see his name credited for guitar too. The amount of love he has for music is on another level. He even has a song, which is dedicated to music and it is called "First love"

I think what Suga wanted with Telepathy is what they did with Butter later on. Butter is under 3 minutes and has a lot of things going on in it, including a dancebreak.

You can see and feel humungous amount of respect RM holds for him. I think Yoongi is the only member in BTS that can make RM low key nervous. 😀 A fantastic interview with ton of insight. Loving Suga’s mood and his calm relaxed persona. He has such a unique personality - he totally comes across as an “ armchair in front of fire place whisky glass in hand knitted jumper on intellectual grandpa” kinda type. Lyrics are important to SUGA. He writes very personal and deep lyrics with huge amout of references, wordplay and metaphors. Usually only Korean speakers can fully appreciate his lyricism. His lyrics are poetic but at the same time raw. He pours his heart out when he writes lyrics and he shared incredibly personal stuff in his music with listeners. Writing lyrics is a healing process for him

Suga just loves making music and he is an amazing producer and writer. his songs are really deep. I think he prefers making the beat first because he is a producer. he produces many songs for BTS and other artists too. you should listen to some of the solo songs he writes under the name Agust D. He has released two mixtapes so far. you should listen to his song far away feat. jin & Jk. it is a very good song. I really appreciate the fact that you reacted to these interviews. You should check out his second solo self-produced mixtape D-2. He is genius songwriter and producer. His mixtape has been recognized by musicians, artists, even politicians. It also got huge support from general public and rap fans, who are not fans of BTS. Despite the fact that it was unpromoted surprise mixtape SUGA as Agust D became the first male soloist in history to have a song and album reach No.1 on iTunes in 100 countries each. He is the first Korean soloist in history to chart on Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 Chart at the same time. He is the first and the highest charting Korean solo artist on the chart Artist 100. He is ranked Billboard's Top solo Korean Album Artist of 2020. His mixtape D-2 also entered Billboard Year-end Album Chart at #15, one of only 2 soloists to place an album there alongside Beyonce. He continues breaking records even after more than a year after the release, but what is mostly important is that his mixtape and music in general is like a chronics of his growth over the years. His music brings comfort and at the same time makes listeners reflect on their own lives

No just a little correction he wasn't an established producer before BTS. He was lured to join BIGHIT to be a producer (they aleays joke about it) . You can find a lot of videos about it. But he was renowned as a underground Rapper. And he was trying to make money by writting songs for other rappers but they will always ripped him off by not paying him. @@onyabeia832 Actually SUGA was an established producer and he was well-known as producer in undeground hip hop scene. For example, undeground rapper Reflow heard about "the beat-maker Yoongi from D-town" and went to him, so SUGA produced a song for him, named "Who am I" It is interesting how many armys don't known some facts about Yoongi, but it's okay, there is a lot of information that can be missed! Just hope next time you'll do a research and won't spread misinformation :)

@@nevermind8650 like I said Suga (or Gloss) wasn't an established producer before BTS) he was a renown underground rapper and to make money he will write or compose songs for other rappers and yes he was known for that also) but he couldn't make money of it because most of the time they will rip him off . (No misinformation here. Don't need to do the research about that. It came straight from his own mouth. Now what is the difference between music producer and a composer? The difference is that a composer writes music, lyrics or both, whereas the producer is in charge of the final product mixing, arrangement etc. That is the reason why he went to audition for BIGHIT. I didn't google the information. I heard it in 2013 and 2014 when the boys were constantly vlogging, interacting with Bang PD, or when they were doing radio interviews. But it is ok if you think that I'm wrong. I'm cool with it

@@onyabeia832 I don't think you understand what established producer means... he wasn't credited as composer/songwriter in many pre-debut songs, he was credited as producer in them. For example, in song "518-062". And he joined BigHit as producer, because he showed his skills as producer. Anyway thank you for conversation :)

I think what is so special about yoongis writing process and approach is that he isn't only looking at it from a rappers perspective but also as a producer. So he has multiple access points to approach a project/song etc.

As he is producer, not just songwriter, he has different approach to music, especially when he creates it for BTS or other artists. When he creates music as Agust D - soloist - he has full freedom to create what he wants, he doesn't think about success, he just makes music which he wants to make. Here is part of his new interview when he talks about difference between SUGA, Agust D and producer SUGA: "I’m BTS’s SUGA, and I’m Agust D, and when I’m producing, I go by 'by SUGA.' But when it comes to by SUGA, I make perfectly commercial music. I’m the producer for those songs, sure, but the owner is someone else, you know? In that case, they’re commissioning my work. But they wouldn’t think about just leaving it all with SUGA. The artist’s label has to think carefully about whether to commission me for producing and consider my situation, too, and those people must be hoping for something commercial. That’s the most important part of working with outside people. Actually, that kind of work isn’t much of a benefit to me, to be honest. Oh, he can write this kind of song, too. That’s all. The more valuable thing I can get from it is the recognition and records the artist or the company will get with the song instead."

He joined the company to be just a producer, he didn´t plan to be in a group, but the CEO of the company convinced him. Music production is important for him, but that doesn´t mean that the lyrics are not important, in fact he is the second member of bts with more accreditations after RM, he has more than 124 writing credits, which is a lot. I think Suga's lyrics are my favorites, since he talks about topics like depression, anxiety, not having a dream, etc. You should react to his song "So far Away" where JK and Jin also participate singing

There was no pressure for this album because it was during the night of quarantine and no one really expected an album. Also most of thier albums are part of series that have overarching themes. They usually have some pressure to stay in that theme and for the first of the series’s to be a big hit and all the rest of the series become really highly anticipated from fans. “Be” album really became almost just a pure passion project. No pressure or real deadlines and everyone just working on what parts they wanted

Thank you for making this reaction longer than some other ones. SUGA is a genius. The only BTS member who has a successful solo career as Agust D. I love his second album D-2. His older song First Love (about his piano) is so passionate, I don't think I heard him being so emotional in any other song. Great artist. Great reaction. I loved it.

It's really nice to know your thoughts about this interview of RM to Suga... I'm kind of excited what the Boys will be making for their next comeback coz most of them expressed that they want to create music that they haven't tried before. when Suga said they have no pressure with BE album, he doesn't mean because BTS still reach the top, but because this album was not expected at all. Their world tour was postponed because covid 19, they suddenly have free time so they decided to make a "self/home made album" if I can say, for themselves, and to share their feelings during this quaranteen with Army, and comfort people. So, I think they didn't have big expectations in term of success, top charts and so on when they made the album, no pressure or stakes, just wanna have fun, cheering Army, and made good music. But, because they are BTS, aka talented artistes, devoted to the music and hard workers, this album is a masterpiece, and they breaks all records with Dynamite and Life goes on.... I love this BE-hind story interviews, so interesting to compare each members creative process...

There was no pressure because BE album was not scheduled, they were supposed to be touring after MOT:7 but then due to pandemic, they decided to release an album, its the first album they participated in producing themselves from cover to concepts to production.

Actually before he was a rapper he was a producer. Big hit actually tricked him into joining by telling him he would be trained as. Producer but things went differently and he eventually became a rapper for BTS. He actually produces a lot of songs for other Korean artist and has worked with a few American artist as well.

Too bad this video didn't include that part when Suga said he made 8 songs and he submitted 4 songs for BE album but the 3 was easily rejected because "other members need to make songs too and submit their own" which is why only Telepathy, one song, from Suga was accepted.
