Mike, make the intro great again!! Love from the UK, love the videos. Totally different experience than Victory!

Agreed - he should put it back. He took what Mr. Concrete God said to heart and took his intro down. Be original Mike and don't worry about what Ryan thinks.

Nice job! Also, get a GPS and hide it deep within the truck. Thieves may just take the entire truck to a chop shop and easily open everything up.

Recommend metal custom box around the pad lock where only your hand fits to put the lock in make it more thief proof from grinder or lock picking master locks are very easy to pick but other than that good idea on your setup.

Yea, I was thinking a small shroud, maybe integrate it on the pipe itself so it comes off.

Great idea on the tool box locking mechanism. Those expensive tool boxes come with the bar that moves up to unlock. You could also make a smaller bar for those lower boxes. Future project idea: wooden or steel drive-up ramps for greasing, oil changes.

Say mike, instead of that 3/4 coupling, just weld a 1” coupling an slide your 3/4 pipe into lt, that way no need to be threading it every time you wanna lock it, just a thought
@why-be-normal70146 ай бұрын
Looks great, but the question is if you drop that pipe on the ground and bend the threads then you can screw it back in you would’ve been better off making a slide sleeve in the front
@elcomanche44226 ай бұрын
I have a similar rig like yours. I did almost the same thing with that pipe. I made a 90 where the lock is and moved it further in. I welded a 1/4 box around the lock. So I can lock it and unlock it fron underneath. That way no bolt cutters or cutoff wheel will fit. And deterrent is peace of mind. Greetings from Texas.

Hey 👋 Mike watching your video and you can dry up the floor with a cheap fan. Just put it ground level and leave on and you will come back to a dry floor. I have a damp crawl space and put the fan on and in one day it's all dried up . Then it eventually gets wet and I repeat the process. Great 👍 job

Good job with the truck, I was thinking what you can do but than we always way overthink things, the bar with the lock is perfect, most of the time if a thief sees a lock or something they just move on to the next. Simplicity is better in this case. Good job Mike 👍

I’m 4 minutes in….. If you just put tabs on each end and between each box with holes in it big enough for the pipe, you could just slide the pipe through the holes and out a lock and both sides. Then they wouldn’t be able to get in without have a grinder. Seems easiest way to me.
@austinrush60576 ай бұрын
7 minutes in….. That is pretty much what you did. Should do the same thing on the other side where you threaded it. That thread is going to be a pain the more the weather gets to it.

Not sure how those threads will hold up over time after some corrosion starts. It might be a pain in the ass to thread in then. You can always just do the same as the back and have 4 locks all keyed the same.
@IntegraDIY6 ай бұрын
it would be heavy af, but would be a permanent solution.. and a lot cleaner.. basically getting 1/4” steel plate and cover the entire tool box door.. each door. and getting a better upgraded locking system for the boxes. nobody would dare bending high grade steel plate 😅 the hinges would go before any bending action. but beef up the hinges too while yoi are at it 🤔

Mike, do you need to carry all your tools all the time. That be the safest. I would then make sure to park in well lit spot where theres a chance someone could see if a thief was fkn around. Also if you have a second phone and can have data on it or by wifi. Alfred app on phone is security cam that you can record or moniter. At least have a dash cam in plain site watching the box and you could put a sign saying your on cam. Pad locks are simple. Storage locks the round ones. Unless you can sheild the padlock somehow
