@@leonschroeder4771 it does, because the ricochet angle is 85 degress for HEAT whereas it is only 70 degrees for AP/APCR. So it is much more difficult to bounce HEAT than it is AP/APCR.

You're talking about pay2play and thats's a problem this game has had ever since it excisted. I recently started over with a f2p account and tbh i was surprised I could be almost as competetive as on my main. I simply have less tanks to choose from and have to grind longer to research new ones, also I'm more of less bound to tiers 5-9, if I want to grind while playing. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying wot has never gone down any wrong patches, BZ would be the prime example for P2W in this game, but as someone playing since 2012 and who's getting 4k wn8 only playing tech tree tanks I can assure you that you don't need to be a whale to be competitive, far from it actually. Free2play is totally okay these days and spending like 50€ on Christmas will last you through the majority of the year

I've actually only used sound detection on the BT-42 since at that tier I'm under attack by the infinite lefh brigade and sometimes you can't just hear it with all the things going off. I don't recommend it over other commander skills, but it's saved my butt a couple of times

He is a great player, but made some super dumb decisions throughout the game like that first peek.He got super lucky to not lose any HP there. 99.9 times out of 100 he would lose 1.6k hp there. Also made a mistake to face the 268 as he has 1950 Hp and not 1600 hp .The true move there is to turn around and run away from the 268 and go kill CDC.. He got super lucky that 268 turned out to be braindead for not pushing him after the 4 shots.

If you connect your inside track to the building you are next to, then the enemies can only see your frontal armor and about half your turret which may give you a better chance of bouncing especially if you are pulling forward and back between shots. Just something to think about

The 50Bs huge problem is that it just isn't a heavy tank... It can't grind out its oponents in any way whatsoever, it can't fight hulldown, it can not sidescrape, it can not hold positions... its game plan in close quarters heavy tank fights is "kill it befor it kills you" (which is kinda... not very good when it comes to carrying a game... or against multiple enemies... or... at all.), and when you have a toptier heavy that can't fight at the front line what usually happens is that the enemy heavy tanks outnumber yours, crush your flank and proceed to roll over your team. It usually doesn't matter that you have a second line of defense behind that, once the front line falls (except for a few maps/situations with overpowered defensive positions) your game is over. You need to prevent your front line from falling in the first place, which is exactly the reason snipy TDs or non-heavy heavy tanks iike the 50B suffer winrate wise on average... In 75% of all situations every point of damage you deal on a flank after the front line is dead is irrelevant.

T57 has better armor (at least against the 8-tier level), and the gun has one of the highest DPMs in the game. 50B is probably a good choice if you are playing in platoons. The only pros of 50B are its speed. Gun handling does not really matter, as there is no such thing as accuracy in the game (you can still miss your shots on Grille or Leo 1 while your enemy will hit every shot on his FV 4005)

Was very well played. And I didn't know they changed the armour on the 50B. Sides used to be 40mm. Turret was 110mm & the gun was 80mm.

French autoloaders are a good way to lose credits and winrate at the same time. I do love the gun on the 50B, but you will usually end the game with 0 damage blocked. It's not a good tradeoff.

The 50B is not a heavy tank and shouldnt be played like one, its a medium, and against mediums it does very well. I use mine with bond turbo and with that it overtakes even mediums, going over 60 but even sometimes 70 km/h

Absolutely nothing spectacular in this game. QB this is one of those 1 in 100 games where stars alignes and everything goes in our ways: MM, Lucky bounces, clueless enemies. 50B is a tank designed to fire APCR rounds due to that needed shell velocity and armor penetration especially in the current meta. That guy got the luck of getting so much bounces on a vehicle that is paper and it's not problematic to be penetrated. Blocking 3k on 50B is nothing but a miracle. Great games comes from people beating the odds stacked against them, not using the stupidity of it's enemies.

When a tanks gold rounds are APCR, forgetting economy, which is sort of a purely ptw aspect of the game, is there ever really a downside for non light tanks to use full gold load outs? Sure the APCR has a little bit less normalization but surely the massive increase in raw penetration outweighs that in pretty much every situation. As a result, if someone is playing to win, give that WG has made this a perfectly legitimate strategy in this game, is that really something worth dining a replay for? If you aim to win, you use whatever the best ammunition is for a given situation, and for tanks with APCR as their high pen gold round, well that's it, all of the time outside of the rare case. What's more, they did carry 4 rounds of just in case but the opportunity didn't come up as a result of being a traditional auto loader. My 2 cents for Boxing Day.
