The BBT Fan i think if the show started now many things would be different in terms of equality. The rampant misogyny and sexual harassment of penny wouldn’t pass for example. But I also think they would approach sheldon differently. Perhaps actually diagnose him with autism and ocd. I find it hard to believe working in a university like that, someone wouldn’t reach out. With my experience of diagnostic systems, they have improved and updated an unbelievable amount over the last ten years. Sometimes I find it a little upsetting when Sheldon has a meltdown over change, or that he’s frustrating about certain things because he finds everything in life very difficult, that he doesn’t have the tools to protect himself or explain what he’s going through to others.
