Amy Berkinshaw - Southeast Elementary Site Teacher of the Year

Meet Amy Berkinshaw. The word “teacher” may not appear in her job title, but don’t be fooled. The counselor at Southeast Elementary is teaching every day. She’s helping students practice life skills. She’s modeling empathy and kindness. She’s forming connections with every smile and greeting. She’s tackling the hard stuff students are facing, and she’s doing it all with warmth, humility, and the occasional assist from a four-legged friend.
