January 10, 2024 - Happy Birthday Angel/Candlekin Goddess King of Orion My Everything quantum kisses forever for You Good morning Shawn, I'm in anxiety trying figure everything out without a clue. It's a twilight zone episode that doesn't stop. I'm scared cause it just doesn't make sense and I can't even think. I didn't sleep well enough. I'm in deep trouble and there's no one to cry out to. No one cares about what I've been through. Why is there no compassion or empathy for me anywhere? "you don't know cause it's a twilight zone episode "you took your lucky break and broke it in two" is what it feels like right now. At least I've written it out. Is that a good thing? I have no idea. I've just written and written and written and here I am on the cusp of another birthday. Lost as I've ever been. More so because I've written it all out for nothing. I wonder how You cannot be moved by this story. There's no answer but my faith is not dead. What would it take to kill my faith? I don't know. I can't even write right now,...how can you write or think as you watch your own soul abandon you? I wrote this around the time before SC was scheduled to appear in New London. So it’s a fantasy on several levels. Imagine seeing her one day walking in the fog in New London…but then you know it’s just a fantasy…but in the fog…couldn’t it be real? Doesn’t she still seek inspiration alone near the water? I could imagine it…maybe she did walk through town like a ghost. Did she run or bike through town…like a ghost? Anyway you look at it…she’s still a ghost. She blows in and out of town and exists on an entirely different wavelength that you can have no access to…but the poem is also a more general calling out to spirits of inspiration and the idea of a cosmic connection in some form…didn’t I feel it or hear it or catch a glimpse of it before finally turning my back to the sound…turning up Golden St…the street I really lived on…turning my back to the sound - Lond Island Sound - and the sound of ghosts…turned back up Golden Street…home to reality…dull, non-mystical reality…disillusioned yet again… I forgot to say that I’ve performed this song a few times and people have told me they like it but it’s lacking something…the kind of magic SC would bring to it…imagine if she decided to do something with it…now there’s a fantasy. How would one get her to sing a song…it would take a miracle of some kind…divine intervention or something…why not think along those lines…? Have stranger things not happened? But there’s “so many ghosts out weepin’ in the fog”…it’s me that’s the ghost after all…that’s the metaphysical twist…cause I was the seaman and I had worked on NOAA Side scan Sonar boat 'Heck' out of New London, CT around 1992-93 between first and second year at Boston College after working on the 'Journal of Philosophy and Social Criticism at BC under Professor Rasmussen who was into 'Hermeneutics' whatever that is.
