In season 1 Raj suggests replacing Sheldon in the Physics Bowl with 'that girl in the show Blossom' who is supposed to be really smart. Amy is played by Mayim Bialik who starred in "Blossom." Also, irl Bialik is a Neuro scientist as is Amy. Was Raj foreshadowing? Was it a coincidence Bialik was casted? Who's to say.

Also, when Leonard shoots that idea down, Raj suggests “the girl from The Wonder Years”; that actress, Danica McKellar, also guest-starred as Raj’s date, Abby, in the episode where Sheldon acts as Raj’s wingman. Johnny Galecki (Leonard) actually appeared in an episode of Blossom and he and Mayim Bialik shared their first kiss together onscreen!

Agreed. We don't wear our feminine hygiene products all the time. For me when I get close to my time of the month, I start wearing pads a couple of days beforehand but we as women do not wear them all the time.

Legend says that Jobs was the marketing guy, and Woz was the engineer. When I bought my first computer in '95, I went PC because my aunt worked at IBM and I got a discount, but I've still got friends my age that have *nothing* but Apple products in their house. 😊

Lol oh the robot hand, Howard will come a long way from that. The character development is really great for him and Amy. The others have good development but Howard and Amy had the best in my opinion. The episode with Amy and Sheldon playing the alternate world they got the Danish pastry wrong. It was invented by Austrians not the Danish.

F.Y.I The person playing Amy had a show I loved from the 90’s called Blossom. Blossom was her characters name It was just her along with her father and brothers, growing up without mom.….. I mainly remember she wore a lot of hats….I like hats. 😎 She put acting on hold, went off to college and got her degree….. she IS s real life scientist with a PhD in neurobiology. She killed a reported with that fact on the red carpet once, it was priceless.

Holy cow - I just noticed that when Sheldon put together his "virtual presence device", he had to get duplicate T-shirts. First we see the robot with a Green Lantern T-shirt and Sheldon wearing the same T-shirt in his bedroom and later their are both wearing the same purple T-shirt and, at the end, a plaid bath robe.

These episodes aren't crazy funny, but they establish the beginning of Sheldon and Amy's relationship. Sheldon had 25 cats to get homes for quickly, so the joke that he is giving money instead of receiving it tells how he got so many people to take cats.

It’s so weird seeing how Amy is during her first couple appearances compared to the end of the show. She really grew to learn social cues and empathy so quick in comparison to Sheldon (so much to the point that by the end of the series, she seems almost normal in contrast to how she is almost a carbon copy of Sheldon in her first appearance). I love how their relationship and personalities developed.

I know you didn't show the scene here, but when Penny offered Howard and Raj $1400 for her underwear, according to reports from fans who went to the tapings of the show, they cut out a bit where Raj actually pulled out his wallet and looked into it. You also might notice Penny isn't in much of these early episodes or notice that she's sitting down for a lot of them, that's because Kaley Cuoco fell off a horse and broke her leg so she wasn't able to be used in the early episodes as much.
