I love this! Especially the lyric that says he writes about others because in the book, Laurie tries to write an opera with Jo as the heroine (it doesn't work out) so it fits so well, and the video in general is just stunning, so good job 💖

Laurie doesn´t do anything for Amy in this movie. In the book he actually goes to work and stops day dreaming when he falls in love with her. Greta Gerwig said that Jo and Laurie could be a great couple if they would like to, yet Jo in the book never wants him. Millions of people became Jo and Laurie shippers because Jo sends that stupid letter wanting Laurie back, that is something that the book Jo would never do, and in an earlier script of the 2019 film Jo wanted to punch Amy after she heard about the engagement. What terrible mischaracterization of both Jo and Laurie this movie is. Why Gerwig said that Laurie wants Jo to step into adulthood. In the novel Laurie is the immature party in that relationship and his relationship with Amy quite literally represents his growth from a boy into a man. Really dispiselful Greta Gerwig. Also Louisa May Alcott wanted to marry Henry Thoreau (real life Friedrich). In her diaries she writes how she envies her sister´s marriage because she seems so happy, and Louisa was incredibly lonely. In the novel Jo envies Amy´s and Laurie´s happiness (not that Amy married Laurie).
