@@mrallsundayyI'm a guitarist and from one year ago I just discovered Evanescence music and I love them so much, every single songs, even all the demos and even her movie scores are my favorites and early days I was thinking she's one the best singers in the world right now,. (not between the opera ones) and the emotion she gifts me in her songs is unforgettable and sometimes I just wanna kiss her throat for all her vocals, and I also really love the live performances and I watched maybe thousands different of her performances and early days I was really enjoying, but then I saw some comments about she's bad at live and I came doubtful, and after that in her first era I noticed she was really struggling with her breathe and from 2011 up to now, her voice cracks many times and some days she really can't sing many notes and people also say she's off key oftenly, and this breaks my heart, you know, I was sure at the beginning that she can do whatever she wants if she be on the mood and not be tired and sick and nervous, but now, I can't even find a very good performances of Cloud Nine or Sweet Sacrifice, she often failed to sing the bridge of Lost In Paradise and her best performance of it is full of high Reverbs, and even in her Synthesis tour, I was thinking she's a monster of vocals but she had many bad days and also struggled a lot, also she has few much lovely performances too, and there is sometimes she sings like an angel but the other times I really doubt is her stuffs in studio real? She really could sing all these hard songs in studio or they just some fake productions by highly used effects and covering a lot of her flaws, and sometimes I doubt that maybe she could really do, what you think ? Is she really that horrible that people say ? Or is she really a great singer who put herself in troubles live by damaging her voice and lack of lessons, I think your text is professional and you can answer me, so please answer me because Evanescence is a great part of my life

When you learn more about music it is natural to see flaws of your favorite singer. A lot of famous singers struggle with their live vocals when they constantly sing live, they get tired but in the studio you can hear the Best versions of themselves. There surely are some modifications in a lot of artists studio records here in there but it doesnt mean the all studio songs are totally made by computers they can also be used to cover up some little mistakes. And the technique is one of the most important things for a vocalist so you can sing healthier for your vocal cords and without cracking. Emotion is another important factor bc music is a way to express yourself in a artistic way for a lot of musicians. Also the energy you have (singers dont Just sing they also play instruments, dance, headbang run on the stage etc. All of these things make a performance) About Amy Lee, she improved her singing a lot over the years also her voice grow with her age she sounds different now probably due to age or perhaps pregnancy. She has some really good performances along with some really bad and also her songs are often hard to Sing with a lot of high notes (she sometimes even crack with lower or medium ones) but it sometimes might be effected by being sick, drunk, tired, depressed, overwhelmed or having a bad day and being have to keep singing cause you are on a tour or anything like that. Like (i guess it was on 2022) she damaged her vocal cords so much and she was on a tour she kept singing it was so bad and eventually had to cancel some shows. It May cause irreverseable consenquences to your voice to sing like that. I am not really fully aware of her singing life i was a fan as a child and i still enjoy their music but yeah she had some really bad, good and ok vocals over the years. It is probably about her technique or being careless with it and being tired. I dont think she is the best vocalist in the world but she is mostly good when everything else is ok. Like she had some amazing vocals in synthesis tour but she also lost her bother probably didnt had a time to mourn for him bc of the shows and also had bad performances through that tour. She sometimes has really terrible vocals esspecially when she is sick and drunk and when she sings high notes but overall i Think she is a good singer with some bad performances It could be better if she choose easier songs to sing or keep working with a vocal coach(learning never ends and it's ok to ask something you dont know to Someone Who knows better) tries to live a healthier life. She still went a lot of ways over her carier about 20 years and now she has so much better control over her voice

For example Sweet Sacrifice, all the performances are not great, some of them really bad (because of her breathe control) and some of them are way better like MTV liar version, but the studio is perfect, yeah studio edits everything and etc. But the question is here, do you think when she wasn't ill, drunk, stage frightened and anything else, and had a ideal physical situation and also great psychological condition, she was able to sing sweet Sacrifice as great as the studio one ? Or not, you think her was her performances through her 2007 tour is her real ability of singing it ? And sweet sacrifice is just an example, actually I wanna know if she be ok and have a great condition, she is capable of singing her songs great as studio versions or not, she would be still far from it ?

@@brokenheartsradio2568 sweet sacrifice is not really an ideal song to Sing tbh bc there is a lot of iii vowels and they need to Be Sing in chest voice and it's hard to belt that vowels with chest voice bc when you say iii it closes your throat and making it hard to belt. But if we reckon all of the extarnel factors are good and her being fully concentrated in her singing, Just singing (bc she runs around the stage a lot causing her to lose breath control) i think she could sing so much better than the live version or as good as the studio version
