Hi Amy I'm not on Instagram but my favourite song is let's start a band because it's catchy with great music and where would you be without a band hence the name let's start a band ❤️

Hi Amy, thanks for the great concert! I am not connected to Instagram but if I may, although it is hard to single out a favorite song I will say it is “Love Love” because even though the lyrics could bring you down it actually is a happy song full of hope and will to survive and carry on. Also it was the first song I heard from you and automatically made me look for the album 😁.

I`m also not on Instagramm, but my favourite song is "This is the life" . This song always reminds me of a magical night. It was the 28th of september 2010 you played at Razzmatazz in Barcelona. We sang and danced to your songs and had a wonderfull time. One of the best nights in my life. THIS WAS THE LIFE. Thanks Amy!

2007 while working at Lowe’s Home Improvement and having an awful night, I hear on the radio a girl with a deep Scottish accent singing an upbeat song with the acoustic guitar. Turns out that was Amy Macdonald singing This is the life. I went home and downloaded her cd immediately! And have all of her albums including A curious thing that wasn’t released here in America. To this day, it’s still the most expensive album I’ve bought and the only I’ve had to import but so worth it! Every album you can hear her grow and mature as a person and an artist! I’ve enjoyed growing up with her and proud of her continued success with every album that comes out! Much love here from the U.S.A.!

Amy let me tell you a story. In 2013 I basicaly didn't listen music at all, but when dark times came to my life, my heart shattered into thousands of pieces I suddenly saw you on Top Gear and I was saying to myself "who is this genuine, funny person with lovely thick scottish accent?" After a quick google research I had fallen into a rabbit hole of your music and videos of your concerts and I had your first 3 albums on constant repeat for months. Your music poured energy into my veins, your lyrics put hope and happiness to my life. But after months and months that playlist gradually got diluted by other songs by other musicians to the point I almost forgot about you and I was ok with it because your songs beside of great joy always brought back that great pain. And here I'm, years later, still hesitating to see this video. I finally played it knowing what emotions it could bring. A few good old songs songs in and I feel it as it was yesterday but it's different... somehow... I didn't understand it at first but then i realized what has changed. The pain is gone. Only you, your beautiful smile, fantastic music and joy stayed the same. Now I know I'm finally healed. THANK YOU FOR THAT!!!
@richardp17263 жыл бұрын
Absolutely brilliant. this is real genuine music from the heart with a wonderful non enhanced purity and Amy's voice is every bit as good live as it is when recorded in the studio which is very rare these days. I grew up through the 60's and the 70's so I have have experienced music from some of the greatest stars who will forever live on in music history, I do believe that Amy Macdonald is as good as any of them. I do have all her albums but I haven't been to see her live yet but when this dreadful virus is over I shall certainly be rectifying that.

Was in Scotland for my 25th wedding anniversary in Nov. 2019 and one of the tour guides played "This is the Life". Oh my word. Fell in love with your music right then. Came back to the states and played that song for my kids. For my birthday in December they ended up giving me your album "Woman of the World". Best album ever!!!! Anytime I get in my car to go somewhere, I have it playing. My daughter and I are planning a trip to Scotland in November of this year so I expect her to have the songs memorized (jk). Such a great album. Hoping to jump on to see the concert on Saturday. Also, just listened to your new song and it is beautiful.

I was crisscrossing Europe with no particular destination back in May of 2007. Remember watching ice-hockey worldchamps (guess US was playing Finland) in a pub in Dusseldorf, Germany where after a few beers with crazy Scotts and long explanations of the rules of the game they persuaded me to fly to Glasgow with them the next day. I was / am a great fan of Travis, who had their album out basically just as I was getting myself deadly drunk singing Why Does It Always Rain On Me with my new friends. Then I learned a young singer had her first single Poison Prince out and when I came back to Riga This Is the Life was all over the place. I am so glad Amy made it big time and brings back wonderful memories of that nice Summer and crazy Scottish people:)
