Nice rendition for Jack’s fly & I’m always pleased when fly’s history are included & the originator given credit for the pattern.

You were my guide on S Platte in Cheeseman Canyon 20+ years ago. You were guiding out of a shop either in or near Denver. Taught me indicator nympung and we caught a ton of fish. I now have your book and visit your KZbin videos as you refine my fly tying. SALUTE!

Jack Dennis did not trim the hackle on the original pattern. He used undersized even with the hook gap. He said that trimming the hackle would create a siphoning effect and the trim hackle barb’s would suck in water. He also added orange, yellow or white foam at the bullethead tie down as an indicator. This fly sits amazingly low in the water
