I think it's just that she is only funny a small percentage of the time. Usually the only time she's funny is in 1 out of 5 interviews and never funny on stage. She is very successful and very feminist. It's a combination that raises eyebrows and invites scrutiny. Personally I did not find her movie to be very funny even though it got good reviews and made a lot of money. She also likes to call out body-shaming etc all the time, even though I am sure that her own appearance (pretty face with great hair, yet not sexy at all) played a huge role in the blowing up of her own career. Idk, she is not humble or grounded whatsoever. It makes people want to take her down a notch.

Rewatching this after Chelsea's special, it must have been hard for Chelsea watching Amy and her brother's relationship and their dynamic. I love Chelsea's humor and her wit, I'm glad she is processes decades long trauma.

The two most fearless feminist in popular culture right now, that actually practice what they preach. These women are role models using their success to spread awareness!! They are not constantly trying to please and be "good girls", they are honest, tearing down shame that has been put upon women for centuries. The people hating on Schumer are conservative people that feel treathened by the new standards these women are setting. Their argument is that Amy is undecerving because other more talented people deserves success more than her, but the whole world is filled with people like that.
