She Heard this information from the paps while coming home from a show that she was *booed* at, this on top of her personal struggles led to her drinking on an empty stomach and unintentionally dying from alcohol poisoning. She didn’t want to die: just forget.

This song got me thru so many dark times.....she had that incredibly unique gift of being able to connect with those who were in pain - her lyrics, her music but combine that with her amazing voice and you have a LEGENDARY artist....gone far too soon....this world & fame was too much for her to cope with. I adored her....I'll never forget the day she died🖤 She battled bulimia in her teens/20's, alcoholism/drug addiction in her 20's and the scumbag of a husband that destroyed her (‘Back To Black’ is about him).....he was so toxic, but tragically she paid the price for loving him. So after her death they cut the end of this video - the gravestone reads “here lies the heart of Amy Winehouse”. It’s a shame because the context is lost and it looks like she is burying a baby which is not the case.

Black refers to the dark place she's in when she drinks and does drugs and that was her broken heart she buried after her man returned to his other woman. This is the 'censored' video ... that's why on a few of the lyrics it mutes out..

Its an expression of drinking. Black to black, likely brought on by depression . Regardless, one of my favorite artists ever, I miss her. And Elvis, Selena, Jimi, Janis, and kurt.
