Love your videos! My scent of the day is Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. It's rainy here in NC today (due to Ian and glad you’re safe) and I wanted something warm. This is a beautiful vanilla perfume for fall and winter. I recently bought a dupe of Kilian Rolling In Love by Dapper Fragrances and it’s gorgeous. I also enjoy Madagascar Vanilla by Nest. ❤

Hey Amy, you're right about wearing the frags that you want to wear in your own home. I don't care how much they cost. If I want to smell like certain frags while just chilling around the house, then I'll wear them...lol...I paid for them. Besides, I'm a homebody anyway, and it makes me feel pretty and girly just knowing I smell amazing while I'm cooking and cleaning...lol. Btw, some of my cozying up frags I like to wear are: Tonka by Solinotes, Signature by Montblanc, Pure Grace by Philosophy, Prada's Candy Gloss, Si Fiori by Armani, and Zara's Ebony Wood...as always tfs.

Ugh my partner loooooves Ari (he’s 19 and I’m 22). His nose for fragrance is so good, I can barely distinguish notes and I’ve been into fragrance my whole life 😭 He always helps me pick what perfume to wear. I showed him the notes one day and he instantly went “That’s the one 😍” He has a thing for raspberry and rose, I’ve noticed. Which is amazing because I adore those notes Another great cuddly perfume, imo, is Hot Cocoa and Cream from B&BW and also r.e.m!

@@AmyGlam I think describing fragrances is an art. 😅 I’m a recent subscriber (a few days ago) and the way you describe some perfumes I love is so different to what I get/understand. The grandma comment though… 💀 Nope, instant declutter. I wanted Dior Poison and then my mum said she wore it all the time and I was like, “Alright, not that then” 😂 I think some fragrances can get a little jumbled with notes and they all mix, but maybe my nose is just so beginner. 😅

Hi Amy, I was wondering what is your all time favorite scent for whatever reason? Since you have such a large perfume collection and vast knowledge of fragrances through time. (I know this is a difficult question but I was just wondering- I know you are also a “collector” and this is your job but maybe in your heart there is a special one just for you if that makes sense). OG Lolita Lempika but it doesn’t exist anymore. I wear Coco Mademoiselle but it’s a perfume everyone loves for me- there’s no spark when I wear it. Ideally a fragrance that is long lasting, complement getting, and makes me happy every time I put it on- I’m still searching… (I am loving Burberry Her Elixir and I just ordered La Belle Le Parfum and Dior Pure Poison. I’ll see where those take me). What is yours?

@@dide7687 Girl, I feel you! OG Lolita and Fleur Defendue (I believe in America it was called Forbidden Flower) were my all time favourites and I always felt so sexy wearing them. I bought a bizarrely expensive - because discontinued- FD bottle a few years back and sadly the patchouli is now really strong and earthy and it's losing the special sweet notes. I've still not found a great alternative for my favourite Lolita's. Their others just don't cut it. I've recently discovered Middle Eastern fragrances and there are some really nice ones out there (unfortunately most is blind buy). Designer wise I'm into Ysl Libre and Libre Intense, Hypnotic Poison (Pure Poison is nice too), VioletBlossom (Zara dupe for Alien) and Armani My Way. I have a La Rive dupe for Scandal by JPG. Quality is atrocious, but it has shown me I might like it if I get the real deal. Nice almond-y warm fragrance. Arabian favourites currently are (for spring/summer ): Lattafa Fakhar Women and Ard Al Zaafaran - Dirham Wardi. For cooler weather Armaf- The Pride of Armaf Femme (Good Girl like, but more chocolate instead of coffee, also lighter), Andaleeb-Asdaaf (Andaleeb is very sweet, seems summer-y but I use it yearround because it's strong enough. Does not convey the under the blanket on the couch fragrance, but it makes me happy), Ajmal Regina (Strong plummy fragrance with rose at the heart. Dry Down has amber and praline), Velvet Rose by Lattafa (a Musky Rose. Very different from the previous ones, but it has sth very addictive and sensual, some of those pheromone type scents). There are more, but some I haven't tested long enough or I'm not sure if you would like them (like Daarej by Rasasi, which is simply very special. And if you dislike anise - it's not in the notes, but it still smells strongly of it. Probably the vetiver - it is not for you).

Oh wow thanks for the suggestions. I have a mature nose so I consider myself open to fragrances but that doesn’t mean I love them all. I consider myself quite selective. I’ve owned soft, sweet, floral, clean, woody, spicy; my pendulum has swung from marshmallow to oud 😅. I give equal opportunity to designer and niche; I don’t mind investing my money if it brings me happiness. Still I would love to find one scent to narrow it down to a signature that I am known for. To have it on my clothes, my space, my person, that it represent the essence of me. I can buy again and again. I would love to find that. I think I can because I had it before- If only these companies would stop discontinuing a ‘good thing’ or at least give us a heads up so we can stock up. On a personal note I own the only perfume my grandmother ever wore. One inhale and she’s with me again. It’s something I want to leave my children.

@@dide7687 same. To me it’s like the immediate love I had for Chance eau tendre - most prettiest smell but it literally last maybe two hours. That’s what Gucci Jasmine does - it doesn’t last. I’ll wait til they make a intense or Parfum version - you know they will 😆 At least then, it’ll be worth the money.

Escape to the cozy living room! That's so cute! Great video. I have Dior Hypnotic Poison and really enjoy it. I sampled it on my skin one day and couldn't stop smelling it throughout that day so went back the next week and purchased. I also have a travel of Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere but I find it too sweet, so I just use it for layering. Both of those Kilian fragrances sound very nice. Will test them at some point.

Amy I am intrigued by Versace Crystal Noir edt, I saw the video you did with comparing the edt to the edp. I did smell it before it smelled good on me but that was awhile ago. Since I saw that video I am going back to sniff it again and see how it is, hopefully it'll smell the same. If so I'll pick it up. Thank you Amy. Okay, I really need to know how. Question: can you please describe it to me? I keep hearing it's so lovely and warm, but when I see the notes on the Zara site it's not exactly endearing itself to me. That's why I've not pulled the trigger yet. I don't have a Zara close and the closest then, on an hour with public transport (and I'm in a wheelchair so no thx), has a very limited collection. In other words: my Zara perfumes, like most of my collection actually, are always blind buys. And I'm not exactly swimming in euros. I like woody scents, but they definitely need to have something sweet with it (I'm a white floral-oriental, fruity floral and mature gourmand lover - as in: NO bubblegum or marshmallow stuff, but more caramel, chocolate, Vanilla, almond, anise suitable for a sensual woman over 30 etc. ). Thank you!
