Answer: I must admit, this is VERY difficult to figure out if you haven't seen the movie "Dark City". But basically, it's all a simulation! The ones watching are the programmers who are creating the simulations. Some simulations they are the "detective" and in others, who knows! It all depends on what the programmers decided to code them as/ what simulation to run. This one was a murder mystery sim. They implant fake memories to give them a past (but due to the simulation being at night, they can remember the day, since short term memories weren't given to them and deemed irrelevant/tedious to add). Walenski glitched out (broken coding error?) & went mad, trying to find a way out. But being a glitch in the system, he seemed to be able to access some knowledge of the technology, but not enough to make sense of it. These "architects" must not be the best coders though, because near the end of the simulation (12am) things kept going wrong! Double glasses, pen re-appearing, etc. Seems they are at least programmed not to see the errors in the matrix 😬 "doesn't look like anything to me" There are a ton of little things I added as clues so I can't go over all of them but yeah! Were you close?? Did you guess it??

The genius of having the clues and drawings on the flip up notebook so there’s a rain for the audience to be seeing them as the character flips through! So smart, you use the medium of asmr to its fullest, you’re never working against the constraints of the medium but instead treating its quirks as a benefit!

This is a masterclass in how to create an ASMR roleplay... The lighting, the orange glow with the letterbox blinds are perfection! The props and costume phenominal too!
